A number of football fans have highlighted their concerns about Marcus Rashford’s appearance during his Aston Villa unveiling.

Rashford signed a loan deal at Villa Park on February 2. In the process, putting a temporary end to his Manchester United career.

The forward had been exiled by Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim and hadn’t featured for the club since the UEFA Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen in mid-December.

Despite reported interest from heavyweights Barcelona, Dortmund and Milan, Villa won the race for Rashford’s signature. The England international will play for the Lions until the end of the current campaign.

Furthermore, Unai Emery’s side will cover the bulk of Rashford’s wages and they also have a £40 million buy-option when the 2024/25 season concludes.

Prior to his Old Trafford exit, Rashford’s commitment and lifestyle had come under the microscope by Amorim and fans alike. Now, supporters have shared their thoughts about the 27-year-old’s current appearance.

Marcus Rashford’s appearance during Sunday’s Aston Villa unveiling certainly raised a few eyebrows amongst eagle-eyed football fans.

The Premier League side came under fire for using a picture of the star whereby he looked ‘unhealthy’ and ‘it looks like he has been out all night partying.’

One user on X, formerly Twitter, wrote: “Does not look healthy. Wouldn’t have even put this photo out if I was Villa media/comms (and would even go as far as to wonder if manager or head of recruitment thought twice about completing the deal).

A graphic until such times as a respectable photo could be taken.” Another simply stated: “Dude looks like he has not trained properly in months.”

However, it wasn’t all doom and gloom as regards to Rashford’s appearance. A series of Villa fans stated their delight at pulling off the marquee signing.

We just signed a world class player. The UCL is ours,” a third person jokingly added.
