Liverpool are set to complete the signing of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, sparking an overwhelmingly positive fan reaction.

According to the latest reports, Arne Slot’s side has agreed a £40 million deal for the Hungarian defender.

The 21-year-old impressed for the Cherries last season, and courted attention from numerous top clubs.

But transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed Kerkez will undergo a Premier League medical at Liverpool next week.

Assuming all goes well, Kerkez will then sign a five-year contract, keeping him at Anfield until 2030.

The news of Milos Kerkez’s Liverpool transfer has been met with overwhelming positivity by Liverpool fans.

One user replied to Romano’s Tweet, saying: “Liverpool fans are really eating good! What a window!

Another added: “We are gonna win it [the Premier League] again and again and again and again.”

Even opposition fans have had to acknowledge the Red are signing a great player.

Milos Kerkez started all 38 Premier League games for Bournemouth last season.

He scored a very impressive six goals as a left-back, and added two assists.

Kerkez previously helped Dutch side AZ Alkmaar to a fourth-place finish in the 2022-23 Eredivisie season, as well as reaching that year’s Conference League semi-finals.

Where Is Milos Kerkez From?

Born in Serbia on 7 November, 2003, Milos Kerkez plays for the Hungarian national team.

Growing up in Serbia, he played youth football for OFK Vrbas before signing for Austrian side Rapid Vienna in 2014.

He remained in Austria until 2019, then joined Hódmezővásárhely in Hungary.

He has previously explained that despite the country of this birth, both his Serbian father and Hungarian grandmother wanted him to represent Hungary internationally.
