Nathan Aspinall feels he has proved his worth on his inclusion in the 2025 Premier League. ‘The Asp’ claimed victory on Night 10 in Manchester and has admitted he almost called it quits just five weeks ago after his ongoing suffering with dartitis. Nathan Aspinall Overcomes Dartitis To Win Premier League Night 10 After winning Night 10 of the 2025 Premier League Darts campaign in Manchester, Nathan Aspinall feels he has more than proved his worth and that he belongs in the Premier League. There were several doubters, including fellow players such as Mike de Decker and Dave Chisnall, who raised doubts over Aspinall’s inclusion in the Premier League. De Decker even said the only reason ‘The Asp’ was picked was because of his walk-on song. However, after claiming victory on Night 10 with a win over Luke Humphries in the final, the Stockport man firmly believes he belongs with the world’s best and is, on form, one of the best players in world darts right now. This comes after years of struggling with dartitis. The world number seven has struggled with dartitis for a while now, and even contemplating quitting darts altogether just five weeks ago. “I’m so happy. I’m in a really good place and I’m winning. Five weeks ago, I was really struggling. I said to Kirstie [Aspinall’s wife]. ‘I can’t be doing this anymore’, and then the last three weeks I’ve proved why I’m still playing because I’m one of the best players in the world,” said ‘The Asp’. After victory in Manchester on Night 10 of the Premier League where he made home advantage count, Aspinall has moved into the top 4 of the standings in a play-off position. Not only that, but the win, which included beating Rob Cross, Michael van Gerwen and the Luke Humphries, has certainly proved anyone wrong who questioned his inclusion in the 2025 Premier League darts line-up. ‘I Have Proved My Worth’ – Nathan Aspinall On Premier League Darts Inclusion Nathan Aspinall has struggled with dartitis for around two years now, but continues to not let it get the better of him. Aspinall has continued fighting and digging deep to overcome his struggles on the dart board. As well as the dartitis, Aspinall also had to overcome several doubters too. Some fans and fellow players didn’t feel like ‘The Asp’ deserved a place in the Premier League this year, but those sentiments have been well and truly quashed now after his Night 10 victory. “It [dartitis] affects me, but I’m winning and I’m winning tournaments and it’s one of them, either quit and give up and go home or you own it and you make it part of the game, and that’s what I’ve decided to do. “I’ve been through an absolute horrendous two years. I’m a fighter, I’m a warrior. People call me a jack russell and I think that’s why I’m here. But I don’t know when I’m beaten. I will never ever give up and these last three weeks have proved why. “The Premier League always brings the best out of me. Every single Thursday night I’m playing the best players in the world and it’s only going to improve my game and that’s what it’s done. “I feel I should be in the Premier League. Everyone knows it deep down why they put me in the Premier League and I have proved my worth – it’s made me a better player,” Aspinall concluded.
