Darts Fans Fuming As World Championship Tickets Already SOLD OUT

After Luke Littler landed the world title back in January it seems there is no stopping the darts juggernaut at the moment – with it being reported that PDC World Championship tickets are already SOLD OUT – four months before an arrow is thrown. 

This ticket frenzy has led darts fans who missed out taking to social media to express their anger.

Plus, we ask – has the biggest darts tournament on the planet outgrown Alexandra Palace?

PDC World Darts Championship Tickets Sold Out – After Unprecedented Demand 🎯

It was announced on the PDC.tv site on Wednesday, that due to ‘unprecedented demand’ – tickets for the 2025/26 PDC World Darts Championship have SOLD OUT.

These tickets were all snapped-up in the Pre-Sale window by PDCTV Annual Members.

These members had first dibs on the 2025/26 World Darts Championship tickets and it seems they purchased them in their droves.

This also means the Public Ballot, that was previously advertised, will now not take place.

While, as per the PDCTV site, it seems the only ways to get tickets now are via the official resale sites or join a waiting list for any already purchased tickets that are cancelled.

This latest darts boom is being put down to the growing popularity of the sport. Plus, of course, Luke Littler, who is in action at this week’s Australian Darts Masters, winning the world title last season aged just 17.

Ahead of the tournament, the betting sites are making Littler the favourite to defend this darts title in 2025/26 – at 11/8, with Luke Humphries next best at 9/2.

However, this rapid ticket ‘sell out’ has also led to many darts fans venting on social media.

“With another @OfficialPDC ticket/queue fiasco, they should stop sales, void all sold tickets, and move to a members ballot. There is still plenty of time before December. #darts #pdc”
“2nd year in a row tried to get tickets for darts world championships. Waited an hour to get on and then all tickets gone. There really isn’t any point in the PDCTV app anymore”

 

Some Darts Fans Still Hit The Bullseye 

Despite the bulk of darts fans missing out – there were still some arrows supporters celebrating.

It seems in true ‘Oasis ticket style’ there were many hoops to jump through and long online queues – but it was worth the wait for some.

Prices for Darts World Championship tickets for 2025/26 varied slightly – depending on what day and round you wanted.

The early rounds saw a table on sale for £65 and the Tier £55 – going up to £100 and £90 for the Final

Does The Championship Need A Bigger Venue?

It’s reported that the capacity for the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace is 3,200.

Which is small fry when you consider the rise of darts over the last five or ten years.

Therefore, it’s no real shock that the 2025/26 PDC World Darts Championship tickets have sold out.

So – does the event need a bigger venue?

The answer to this – based on the selling out of the tickets – is probably yes.

But where?

Maybe the O2, who have hosted the Premier League in the past and with the main arena having capacity for up to 20,000 – this could a logical option for the PDC.

When Does The Event Start?

The biggest darts competition on the planet will take place in 2025/26 from Thursday 11th December 2025.

Running for three weeks, with the final on Saturday 3rd January 2026.
