Premier League Betting Tips On Saturday 3rd January 2026: League Leaders Arsenal Travel To Bournemouth

The next Premier League games in 2026 will see FOUR matches to start the Gameweek 20 fixtures, with the games at 12:30pm, 3pm and 5:30pm.

We get going with Aston Villa hosting Nottingham Forest – a clash that’s seen OVER 2.5 GOALS in all of the last three clashes.

Wolves will be looking for their first league win of the season as they face West Ham. With the bookies making Wanderers favourites in the match betting market.

And a defeat for the Hammers will pile more pressure on manager Nuno Espirito Santo in the  Premier League sack race betting odds market.

Brighton and Burnley also clash at 3pm. Which is a H2H that has seen a stack of draws over the years (see below).

Then at 5:30pm, we see league leaders Arsenal travel south to Bournemouth and with the Cherries doing the double over the Gunners last season they will be looking for the upset.

So, if you are having a wager on Saturday’s big games – see our quick-fire stats-based Premier League betting tips, which will hopefully point you in the direction of a few winners.

Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest 12:30

Both Villa and Forest will be hoping to get back to winning ways after defeats in their last games.

With Villa getting thumped by league leaders Arsenal and Forest losing to Everton.

Villa are still sitting pretty in third in the league though and still very much in the mix for a top four finish, where the bookies make them as short as 1/2.

While, as a result of losing their last three league games, Forest are down to 17th and just one place off the relegation slots. But are still 12/1 to be relegated.

The match odds favour Villa at 4/5 and having lost only one league home game this season, that actually looks fair value.

Especially as Forest have only won one on the road.

This repeat clash last season ended 2-1 to Villa, plus the home side are unbeaten vs Forest in their last NINE at Villa Park.

The last time Forest beat Villa away was in the Premiership in 1994.

Both teams scored in the last three H2H’s too and also saw Over 2.5 Goals, so BTTS (yes) or 3+ goals – both a 4/5 might appeal.

However, this looks a game to just keep it simple and snap up the 4/5 on a Villa win and inflict a fourth straight league defeat on Forest.

BEST BET: ASCOT VILLA WIN @ 4/5

Match Odds

  • Aston Villa 4/5
  • Draw 5/2
  • Nottm Forest 7/2

Brighton vs Burnley 15:00

With just one league win on their travels, then it’s no shock to see Brighton as the big favourites at 1/2 to see off Burnley.

In fact, the Clarets have lost seven of their nine away league matches this season, whereas the Seagulls have only lost one at home, which came against Villa.

Brighton have also defeated City at home this season and have become a tough side to beat in front of their home fans.

This will be the first time the sides have played this season and last met in the 2023/24 season, with both clashes that term ending 1-1.

In fact, despite being 11/2 in the match odds, Burnley fans might remind us that they’ve got a fair record against Brighton.

They’ve only lost ONE of their last six vs Brighton – so the 13/8 on Burnley/Draw in the ‘Double Chance’ market might appeal.

1-1 has been a popular scoreline too when these sides meet, with 50% of the last eight going this way, which can be backed at 8/1.

While with a massive TEN of the last 15 H2H’s ending all-square this is a massive 67% return if you think the sides will share the points again.

Brighton look the obvious call here, but with their strong drawing record – then the value has to be the 10/3 on another stablemate.

BEST BET: DRAW @ 10/3

Match Odds

  • Brighton 1/2
  • Draw 10/3
  • Burnley 11/2

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs West Ham 15:00

Wolves are still hunting their first league win of the season, but with home advantage and taking on a West Ham side also struggling – the bookies are saying this might happen.

Wanderers are put in here as the 6/4 favourites in the match odds betting market. With the Hammers 7/4 and the draw 9/4.

West Ham have also only won one game on the road this season and you feel a loss here and the next West Ham manager betting odds market is going to get a lot of interest.

With former manager Slaven Billic the favourite to replace Nuno Espírito Santo.

The sides met earlier this season in the League Cup too, with Wolves winning that 3-2 at home.

Plus Wanderers also won this repeat fixture last season 1-0.

In fact, 1-0 Wolves has been a popular correct score that has popped up in THREE of the last four repeat fixtures.

So, at 17/2 their could be some value in having a small interest here.

Four of the last five H2H’s (all comps) also went OVER 2.5 GOALS, which is on the table at 10/11.

While these sides don’t tend to draw when facing each other – the last 17 (all comps) had a result with the last stalemate in 2010.

Therefore, in a tricky game to call, Wolves could easily get their first league win of the season.

But the OVER 2.5 GOALS option at 10/11 looks a slightly safer call.

A bet that’s paid out in 80% of the last five H2H’s – in a match that really could go either way.

BEST BET: OVER 2.5 GOALS @ 10/11

Match Odds

  • Wolves 6/4
  • Draw 9/4
  • West Ham 7/4

Bournemouth vs Arsenal 17:30

Arsenal remain odds-on to win the Premier League title at 8/15, after City dropped points with a 0-0 draw against Sunderland last time.

Next up for the Gunners is another very winnable game as they travel to Bournemouth. Who haven’t won in their last TEN.

The Cherries last won in Oct, when beating Forest 2-0 at home, but have drawn four of those ten.

They will face an Arsenal side that have lost only twice in the league this season, but Bournemouth will know both these defeats came on the road.

While the south coast side will also remind Arsenal fans they did the DOUBLE over the Gunners in the league last season.

With this clash ending 2-0, which can be backed again at a massive 40/1.

But with the Cherries struggling to win at the moment and Arsenal flying high, it’s hard to see the Londoners slipping up here.

That said, the 1/2 does look a tad skinny.

So, with six of the last seven (86%) of recent H2H’s (all comps) going OVER 2.5 GOALS, this is how we are going to play this one at 4/6.

BEST BET: OVER 2.5 GOALS @ 4/6

Match Odds

  • Bournemouth 5/1
  • Draw 7/2
  • Arsenal 1/2
