Ousmane Dembele Dribbling With the Ball

PSG will be hoping to avoid any slip-ups with a 2-0 lead going into their Champions League play-off second leg against Brest and you can find a preview, prediction, team news and predicted lineups below.

PSG vs Brest Preview

PSG swept their French counterparts aside in the opening leg of this Champions League play-off tie, winning 3-0 away from home thanks to a Vitinha strike and Ousmane Dembele brace.

Luis Enrique’s side have been on an unbelievable run, remaining unbeaten from their last 18 matches and winning 15 of these.

Despite playing a rotated side, PSG won their most recent Ligue 1 clash 1-0 thanks to a Fabian Ruiz strike meaning they will be full of confidence on Wednesday night.

As for Brest, progressing to the next stage of the Champions League seems an almost impossible task after suffering a 3-0 defeat and is even more unlikely when you realise that no team has progressed after suffering a three-goal defeat in the home leg.

The French side were held to a 2-2 draw by Auxerre in their latest league fixture and could field a rotated side as they focus on their league campaign.

Qualifying on Wednesday evening would be a monumental feat, however, winning the match at all would also be a huge feat as Brest have never beaten PSG (19L & 2 D).

PSG vs Brest Team News

Luis Enrique rested six players during PSG’s 1-0 win over Toulouse at the weekend and have an almost fully fit squad to choose from.

William Zaire-Emery is the only guaranteed star to miss out, as the Frenchman continues to recover from an ankle injury.

Brest could play a rotated side given the mountain they have to climb and quest to finish in the top four in France, as they currently sit eight points off the UCL qualification spaces.

Jordan Amavi, Bradley Locko, Jonas Martin and Romain Del Castillo will all miss out through injury, while Ibrahim Saleh was forced off after 20 minutes during Brest’s 2-2 draw with Auxerre.

PSG vs Brest Predicted Lineups

PSG vs Brest Prediction

PSG are heavy favourites on UK betting sites, given their impressive record against Brest and dominance in the opening leg.

Brest winning would be a piece of history and Brest qualifying would be one of the biggest comebacks in Champions League history – however we expect Luis Enrique’s side to cruise their way into the next round.

Prediction: PSG 2-0 Brest
