Andrew found well-backed winner JANEY MACKERS on Friday and has four stats-based selections on Saturday, October 26th…
DONCASTER 2.40
ANNO DOMINI (system – New Bay, won last time out or finished 2nd/3rd while running within three lengths of the winner)
ANNO DOMINI, who has justified favouritism in novice company at Newbury and Sandown in his two runs to date, is a much bigger price this time around but is still worth a bet to maintain his 100% record. Progeny of his sire New Bay tend to hold their form well and those who won last time out or finished second/third while running within three lengths of the winner are 149 from 571 (26.1%) for a profit of £106.33 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 117.12, A/E = 1.27).
NEWBURY 4.19
THAT’S AMORE (system – New Bay 2yos, 7f+, turf)
Juvenile progeny of the sire New Bay outperform market expectations over 7f or further on turf, landing 56 of their 252 starts (22.2% strike-rate) for a profit of £28.88 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 38.16, A/E = 1.47). Ralph Beckett’s 180,000gns newcomer THAT’S AMORE is taken to make a winning start to her career.
CHELTENHAM 4.40
SEATOIT (system – Kim Bailey, October-December, 150+ days absence)
Kim Bailey has a fine recent record with his early-season (October to December) runners who were returning from a break of at least 150 days, scoring 32 of their 122 qualifiers since 2021 for a profit of £54.75 to a £1 level stake at SP.  SEATOIT, who showed good form in two bumpers for Edward McNamara, changed hands for £120,000 at Cheltenham sales in January and can make a winning start for new connections.
CHELMSFORD 7.30
GREY NYLE (system – Jason Hart, Chelmsford handicaps, 5f-1m)
Jason Hart has a solid recent record in handicaps at Chelmsford, especially over the shorter trips (5f-1m). Since the beginning of 2020 he’s won on 24 of his 794 such rides (25.5%) for a profit of £40.02 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 14.85, A/E = 1.62). GONE ROGUE struggled to see out the 1m2f trip when sixth of 14 here las time and will be happier back at 1m.
