The great thing about Spreadex is that offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences, of course, between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Make the right call and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide: Andrew successfully opposed CERENDIPITY (6th, 13-2) & found winner THE KEMBLE BREWERY on Wednesday and has two recommended bets/trades on Thursday, October 17th… SOUTHWELL JOCKEYS Since racing resumed after lockdown in June 2020, Tom Marquand has a 28 from 139 record when riding for Mick Appleby for a profit of £121.38 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 22.47, A/E = 1.25). Much of the profit is down to 80-1 winner Fantasy Master but it is still a healthy return without that one and it’s fascinating to see him head to Southwell to ride five for the yard this evening (he’s never had more than three rides for Appleby at one meeting and that has only happened on two previous occasions) as well as three for other yards. I’d like to think that we’re getting involved in some sort of Barney Curley-style life-changing multiple wager but in reality, we can hope for a few winners to get us into profit in the Spreadex SOUTHWELL JOCKEYS market. SANTORINI STAR, a newcomer from the William Haggas yard, might be able to get the ball rolling in the 4.25 and SHAMROCK BREEZE, who makes his debut for Stephen Thorne, has been strong in the early market for the 5.30. THAMNA (6.00) was only sixth of eight on her debut at Newcastle but that Tapeta experience will hold her in good stead and Churchill progeny often take a big step forward from their debut efforts. LIPSINK (6.30) has a superior strike-rate on the all-weather (3-13, as opposed to 2-31) and will appreciate the switch of surfaces after last month’s beaten-favourite effort at Bath. The consistent BILLYJOH hasn’t been the easiest to win with on turf of late but form figures on the all-weather of 541411242 (3-9) suggest he’ll be there or thereabouts in the 7.00, while FOREVER A DIAMOND (7.30) has a 6-1 victory, 16-1 close-up third and a respectable four-length sixth to her name from three runs over tonight’s 7f trip on the all-weather. LE ROUGE CHINOIS was fifth to Manxman in a Racing League contest here on his penultimate start and that form has been well advertised, with the winner passing the post in second place (subsequently awarded the race) in the Cesarewitch and the runner-up/third both winning since. OLYMPICUS rounds off a busy night for Marquand in the 8.30 and he was an eyecatcher at Lingfield three runs back (August 31st) when doing second best of the prominent racers. He bombed out the next twice but today could be the day. Recommendation: Buy TOM MARQUAND in Southwell Jockeys SOUTHWELL 7.00 SILVER SAMURAI is 0-9 on the all-weather but hasn’t had many opportunities on Tapeta, doing best of the closers when third in a 7f novice contest at Wolverhampton way back in August 2019 before a close-up third of 14 in handicap company over an inadequate 6f trip at Newcastle in October 2021. Marco Botti’s seven-year-old beat only one home on at Doncaster last month but didn’t enjoy the soft going and his trainer has a good record with turf to Tapeta switchers, scoring with 68 of the 328 qualifiers (20%) for a profit of £85.78 to a £1 level stake at SP. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price, each-way. Recommendation: Back SILVER SAMURAI in Southwell 7.00 Already got a Spreadex account?
