Unearthing value bets via handy systems and statistics, he shares his latest thoughts with SportsCasting readers below. Andrew has been in good form of late and heads to Sandown and Beverley for his three stats-based selections on Wednesday, September 18th… SANDOWN 1.50 SECRET HANDSHEIKH (system – small-field preference) SECRET HANDSHEIKH bolted up against four rivals in a 5f soft-ground handicap at Brighton last week, taking his record in fields of seven or fewer runners to ten wins from 25 starts for a profit of £15.70 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 5.21, A/E = 1.92). John Gallagher’s six-year-old was first to the favoured near side rail that day but such was the margin of superiority – he won by five and a half lengths – that he probably would have won from anyway. Sandown’s stiff finish is perhaps not ideal, but he still makes some appeal under a penalty. SANDOWN 2.50 COSMIC YEAR (system – Kingman colts, 2yo debut, turf, 7f+) Leading sire Kingman does well with colts on their two-year-old debut, provided that was over 7f or further on turf. Had we backed all 98 qualifiers we’d have found 21 winners an made a profit of £63.45 to a £1 level stake at SP. Five of the winners came here at Sandown and perhaps Harry Charlton’s COSMIC YEAR can boost the profits further. BEVERLEY 3.45 CRUEL SUMMER (system – Amo Racing-owned newcomers) Racecourse debutants owned by Amo Racing have a soldi record, landing 48 of their 226 starts (21.2%) for a profit of £33.23 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 37.42, A/E = 1.28). CRUEL SUMMER, the mount of Hollie Doyle, cost current connections 120,000gns and can make a winning start to her career. Check out the best horse racing betting sites in the UK right now.
