A Shane Lowry interview left the golf star half the world away after Fan Duel TV host Ali McCann’s shocking revelation about Oasis.

The Irishman was almost certainly left crying his heart out after McCann admitted she didn’t know who the English rock band are.

Lowry spent some time with the American broadcaster prior to PGA Tour’s season-ending Tour Championship at East Lake. Naturally, the 37-year-old was left dumbfounded at McCann’s lack of knowledge.

When asked who his ideal celebrity drinking partner would be, Lowry did not hesitate for one moment when he named the reformed band.

However, Lowry was left quite literally stunned at Ali McCann‘s awkward silence. As she looked oblivious to the term ‘Oasis’, the 2019 Open Championship winner felt anything but supersonic.

McCann went on to confess that she didn’t know who they are and that they got back together. Consequently, this prompted a laughing Lowry to insist she go and check them out.

The Offaly star also playfully teased that McCann must be a lot younger than him. Nonetheless, the pair saw the funny side with McCann adding she had ‘ruined the whole interview.’

Lowry will be hoping that his masterplan to win in Atlanta this weekend pays off, and his chances of success don’t slide away. Here is the transcribed hilarious exchange in full with the full video on X:

Ali McCann: “If you could have a drink with any celebrity and pick their brains, who would it be and why?”

Shane Lowry: “I’d love to have a drink with Oasis. You know Oasis are back together? You know who Oasis are?”

Ali McCann: “I don’t even know. No.”

Shane Lowry: “You don’t even know who Oasis are!? Oh my God! You’re obviously way younger than me. Like, this is the biggest new ever. You need to look them up after this.”

Ali McCann: “I’m so sorry. I’l do that immediately after this. I just ruined this whole interview.”
