Six Nations Player Of The Championship

The nominees are in for the 2025 Guinness Six Nations Player of the Championship, with four men on the shortlist for the award.

England winger Tommy Freeman and Scotland full-back Blair Kinghorn are among those in contention.

Both players have done their chances of British & Irish Lions selection no harm, with superb campaigns.

Also nominated is last year’s award winner, Italy centre Tommaso Menoncello.

The final nominee is this year’s top try-scorer, Louis Bielle-Biarrey of France, who scored a championship record of eight tries in 2025.

This year’s winner will be decided by a fan vote, which closes on Monday, 24 March at 10pm GMT.

Alongside the Player of the Championship, the Team of the Championship will be announced on Thursday, 20 March

Six Nations Player Of The Championship Nominees

Tommy Freeman – England

Tommy Freeman

Northampton Saints and England winger Tommy Freeman had a super tournament.

The 24-year-old started all five games for the Red Rose, and became the first Englishman to score in every round of a Six Nations campaign.

With five tries, he is the tournament’s joint-second top scorer, alongside Ireland hooker Dan Sheehan.

Louis Bielle-Biarrey – France

Six Nations Player Of The Championship

The electric youngster has lit up the tournament, scoring a record-break eight tries and registering four assists.

Having played a huge role in helping France to the title, he is most pundit’s pick to win player of the championship.

Still only 21, ‘LBB’ has 18 tries in 19 senior caps for France, and is on course to smash the all-time French try record if he keeps up his scoring ratio.

Blair Kinghorn – Scotland

Blair Kinghorn

Scotland may have disappointed this year, but Blair Kinghorn definitely did not.

The Toulouse fullback made a tournament-high of 86 carries, as well as nine line-breaks.

He looked assured and classy under the high ball and was a shining light for his side, with many now expecting him to start in the 15 jersey for the Lions this summer.

Tommaso Menoncello – Italy

Tommaso Menoncello

Having won the award last season, Tommaso Menoncello is once again nominated for Six Nations Player of the Championship.

The centre was at the heart of everything good Italy did. As well as scoring two tries and making three turnovers, he was rock solid in defence and created numerous breaks for the Azzurri.

Alongside midfield parter Juan Ignacio Brex, he formed the best centre combination of the Six Nations.
