Newly promoted Sunderland are looking after their most loyal fans – by rewarding their OAP supporters FREE season tickets for their 2025/26 Premier League campaign ahead.

Before a ball has been kicked – The Black Cats are already ‘purring’ ahead of the new Premier League season – by offering all their existing over 85 year-old fans a FREE SEASON ticket.

Sunderland announced this week they will give any OAP supporter, that has held a season ticket for at least three seasons, the chance to watch their upcoming Premier League campaign FREE OF CHARGE.

With any older statesman that has already purchased their 2025/26 tickets to get a full refund by the club.

The news was announced by Sunderland’s Chief Operating Officer Paul Kingsmore at their latest meeting of the senior supporters’ association – and will come into play straight away.

Black Cats Wanted To Reward Loyal Fan With Free Season Tickets

Sunderland said they wanted to reward their most loyal supporters, who have been cheering on the club through their recent Championship and League One campaigns to get back into the Premier League.

The Black Cats were relegated from the English top-flight back in the 2016-17 and even dipped into League One between 2018 and 2022.

But managed to see off Sheffield United 2-1 in the 2025 Championship Play-off Final at Wembley Stadium in May to book their Premier League slot for next season.

They came up with Burnley and Leeds – but ahead of the new season -the football betting sites are making Sunderland the 2/5 favourites to be relegated.

The over 85 year-olds that qualify for this Sunderland season ticket offer will receive a letter in the post inviting them to come to the ticket office at the club to get their refunds.

Looking at the Premier League fixtures, Sunderland will start their campaign with a home clash against West Ham on Saturday 16th August.

Any season ticket holder over the age of 85 that has held a season ticket for at least 3 seasons, will get a free season ticket. If they’ve already paid for it, they’ll get a full refund.

How Much Does A Sunderland Season Ticket Cost?🎟️

A Sunderland season ticket for the 2025/26 season will start from £590 for adults and £125 for under 14 year-olds.

With under 14 match day tickets on offer from £6.56 per game.

While there is also a £1.50 season ticket booking fee to pay, according to the official Sunderland FC website.

Over 65’s can get their Sunderland season ticket from £400, Under 22 year-olds start at £310 and Under 18’s £220 – depending on which part of the Stadium Of Light you are in.
