Tomos Rosicky Addresses Arsenal Sporting Director Talks

Tomas Rosicky has revealed he has received no formal offer from Arsenal to become the club’s next sporting director.

The former Gunners midfielder, currently the sports director at Sparta Prague, has been linked with a return to a club.

While he has acknowledged his strong bond with Arsenal, he’s clarified that no approach has been made.

Arsenal’s Search for Edu Replacement Continues

Since Edu’s departure in November, Arsenal have been searching for a new sporting director.

Several high-profile names have emerged as candidates, with Real Sociedad’s Roberto Olabe currently considered the frontrunner.

Other potential options include Dan Ashworth, who recently left Manchester United, and Andrea Berta of Atletico Madrid.

Jason Ayto has been serving as the interim sporting director but faced criticism for Arsenal’s lack of signings during the January transfer window.

Rosicky: No Official Contact from Arsenal

Speaking on the Livesport Daily podcast, Rosicky denied claims that he is in discussions with Arsenal regarding the role.

“So the reality is simple. My connection with Arsenal is natural because I spent 10 years there, and when you spend 10 years somewhere, you form a strong, very strong bond. I have this strong bond with Arsenal and with Sparta Prague.”

He emphasised that while he is aware of speculation, no formal approach has been made.

“I am honoured by the fact that I am even being considered by Arsenal’s management, but I can say that I don’t have any offer to go to Arsenal.”

While Rosicky maintains a deep connection to Arsenal, his primary focus remains on his role at Sparta Prague.

Meanwhile, Arsenal continue to explore their options as it looks to appoint a new sporting director in the near future.
