Ange Postecoglou’s inconsistent Tottenham host Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday, and our match preview has the latest team news and lineups, as well as a prediction ahead of the action.
Tottenham vs Bournemouth Preview
Fresh off the back of a 1-0 defeat to AZ Alkmaar in the first leg of their Europa League last 16 tie on Thursday, Tottenham return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Bournemouth to North London.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have now won just two of their last six matches across all competitions, with a 1-0 home defeat to reigning champions Manchester City preceding their midweek disappointment in the Netherlands.
They currently occupy a lowly 13th place in the English top-flight, and as if things couldn’t get any worse for the club, they have also been eliminated from both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup in recent weeks too.

As for Bournemouth, they are on the hunt for European football and are currently primed to do so, as they sit in seventh place in the table, within three points of fifth place Chelsea and sixth place Newcastle.
The Cherries head into Gameweek 28 having overcome Wolves in the FA Cup fifth round last weekend, advancing to the quarter-finals via a penalty shootout, however they have lost each of their last two in the league.
Their most recent league outing, away at Brighton just over a week and a half ago, ended in a 2-1 defeat, following on from a 1-0 loss to Wolves after being reduced to 10-men at the Vitality three days prior.
Tottenham Team News
Spurs were dealt a major blow ahead of their Europa League clash in midweek, following confirmation that standout midfielder Dejan Kulusevski faces a spell on the sidelines with a foot injury.
Long-term absentee Radu Dragusin (knee) and Brazilian forward Richarlison (calf) are out too, while Dominic Solanke (knock) and Ben Davies (unspecified) are doubts and face late fitness tests ahead of the match.
Bournemouth Team News
While Evanilson has made an early return from his foot injury, fellow striker Enes Unal is sidelined for the remainder of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
Marcos Senesi (thigh), Julian Araujo (thigh), Adam Smith (calf) and Illia Zabarnyi (suspended) are also ruled out, while Scotland international midfielder Ryan Christie is a doubt due to ‘chronic pain’.

Tottenham vs Bournemouth Prediction
The UK’s best football betting sites favour the Cherries to come out on top in North London on Sunday at around 13/10, while a draw is rated at 29/10 and a victory for the hosts is priced at around 7/4.
Given recent form, as well as how inconsistent they have been all term, we find it incredibly hard to back Tottenham at the minute, and despite Bournemouth losing their last two in the league, we can see them bouncing back here.
Therefore, we at SportsCasting are predicting that the south coast club will secure a narrow victory in the English capital.
Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Bournemouth
