With a total of 12 fights across 10 weight divisions, there are several fighters worth watching out for this weekend on the UFC Fight Night: Bonfim vs Brown card.
Join us as we outline five key fighters to keep an eye out for and tune in to watch at UFC Fight Night this weekend from the UFC Apex on November 8.
Fighters To Watch At UFC Fight Night: Bonfim vs Brown
UFC Fight Night: Bonfim vs Brown is just days away as Dana White brings this weekend’s show to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas for a second consecutive Fight Night.
The main event sees the #14 ranked welterweight Bonfim takes on the seasoned ‘Rude Boy’ Randy Brown in what is a compelling contest. This is a fight Bonfim is expected to win, but Brown is coming into this contest fresh off the back of a sensational KO last time out.
There are also several other intriguing battles on both the main card and prelims, with several ranked fighters in action across multiple weight divisions.
None of the top 25 most followed UFC fighters are in action this weekend in Vegas, but there are a whole host of top prospects and future title contenders on the card.
With that in mind, here at SportsCasting we have outlined five fighters to watch this weekend featuring on the UFC Fight Night 264 show.
This includes one of the main event combatants, a flyweight contender, an unbeaten heavyweight contender, a potential bantamweight prospect and a ranked women’s bantamweight fighter too.
So without further ado, here are five fighters to keep an eye on this weekend at the UFC Fight Night: Bonfim vs Brown show at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
UFC Fighters To Watch This Weekend
Gabriel Bonfim
You can’t talk about UFC Fight Night: Bonfim vs Brown this weekend without mentioning at least one of the main event combatants themselves. First up, the #14 ranked welterweight contender Gabriel Bonfim.
The American is set for his seventh UFC fight this weekend, and is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. This includes a career-best win last time out against former two-time UFC Welterweight Title contender Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson.
During his six-fight UFC tenure, Bonfim has earned two UFC bonuses. He earned a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus for his submission victory over Khaos Williams back in February, with his defeat to Nicolas Dalby earning ‘Fight of the Night’ back in November 2023.
Bonfim is something of a submission artist, with 13 of his 18 wins inside the octagon coming via some form of submission. He also has three knockout finishes and has won just two fights on points.
His only career defeat was a Round 2 KO defeat to Dalby, which set him back somewhat but that he has since bounced back impressively from.
An interesting aspect of Bonfim’s fight with Randy Brown this weekend is that ‘Rude Boy’ is coming into this one after knocking out Dalby himself. Whether or not that will play on the mind of Bonfim remains to be seen, but he is expected to win this fight and is the big favourite.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the #14 ranked 170-pound contender Gabriel Bonfim as one of the UFC fighters to watch this weekend at UFC Fight Night: Bonfim vs Brown.
Joseph Morales
Joseph Morales features in the co-main event on this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 264 show, and he is the next fighter worth watching.
The 31-year-old comes into this match-up with veteran Matt Schnell fresh off the back of winning The Ultimate Fighter 33 flyweight tournament.
Morales impressed last time out with a submission victory over Alibi Idiris on his second UFC debut, and has been granted an opportunity at adding another name to his record this weekend.
The American currently boasts an impressive MMA record of 13-2, having earned another UFC contract after previously being released from the company after back-to-back losses. Since then, he has regrouped and bounced back and looks like he could be a force to be reckoned with at 125-pounds.
A win over the seasoned Schnell would certainly impress UFC President Dana White, who is looking for fresh meat in the 125-pound division with the current champion Alexandre Pantoja running through almost every top contender.
A win on Saturday night for Morales will certainly help him as we approach the New Year, with ‘Bopo’ setting his sights on the top 15 as we enter 2026.
Be sure to watch out for Joseph Morales in the UFC Fight Night co-main event this weekend in Las Vegas.
Raoni Barcelos
Next up is bantamweight contender Raoni Barcelos, who takes on Ricky Simon in a 135-pound contest on the UFC Fight Night: Bonfim vs Brown main card.
This is somewhat of a veterans battle, with Simon having had 15 UFC fights and Barcelos himself being 38-years-old and having 13 UFC fights of his own.
Neither of these men will ever fight for the UFC Bantamweight Title, but this is a compelling fight and one worth keeping an eye on this weekend.
The reason for selecting Barcelos as one to watch is due to the fact he beat the former 135-pound champion Cody Garbrandt last time out. He is riding a three-fight win streak, which is his best run in five or six years.
Barcelos is the underdog here against Simon, but rest assured he is more than capable of pulling another big win out of the bag.
With that in mind, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on Raoni Barcelos this weekend at UFC Fight Night 264.
Jacqueline Cavalcanti
Jacqueline Cavalcanti finds herself on the UFC Fight Night: Bonfim vs Brown preliminary card this weekend, despite being ranked inside the top 15 in the UFC women’s bantamweight rankings.
She currently sits at #11 at 135-pounds, and is looking to strengthen her position as we approach the end of 2025 with what would be an eighth consecutive victory inside the cage.
The Brazilian mixed martial artist has had four fights in her short UFC tenure to date, winning each and every one of them. She has won each of these fights via decision, and is likely to do so again this weekend as the ⅖ favourite with UFC betting sites to beat Maya Bueno Silva.
The 28-year-old might not shoot any further up the bantamweight rankings here with a win, but she will cement her position just outside the top 10 with eyes on climbing those rankings early next year.
A win here and then a victory over two or three more fighters ranked above her and Cavalcanti could well be in line for a UFC Bantamweight Title shot come this time next year.
For this reason, Jacqueline Cavalcanti is certainly worth keeping an eye on this weekend on the upcoming UFC Fight Night card at the Apex.
Josh Hokit
Last but by no means least, the fifth and final fighter featured on the UFC Fight Night: Bonfim vs Brown card worth watching this weekend is undefeated heavyweight prospect Josh Hokit.
The 27-year-old has only had six MMA fights to date after turning pro a little over two years ago, winning two fights in Bellator, three in LFA and his last fight being an impressive knockout victory on Dana White’s Contender Series.
That win has earned Hokit a UFC contract, where he makes his debut this weekend against Max Gimenis as an overwhelming favourite. Hokit has won all six of his MMA fights to date via stoppage, showing that he is a well-rounded mixed martial artist with three knockouts and three submissions under his belt.
With the current heavyweight division a fairly weak one outside of the top three of four guys, a statement win here from the American could earn him a top 15 ranking straight away. If he wins via knockout or submission, expect Hokit to be ranked inside the top 15 by next week.
MMA great Jon Jones labelled Tom Aspinall as ‘incredibly overrated’ earlier this week, which doesn’t say a lot for the rest of the heavyweight division that Aspinall has seemingly ran through in devastating fashion.
A win here for Hokit could well build a bit of hype around him, and he could well become one of the new breed of UFC heavyweights who could perhaps go on to challenge Aspinall for the UFC Heavyweight Title in the next couple of years. But first, he must win his UFC debut in style.
For all of the above reasons, UFC debutant Josh Hokit is certainly worth watching this weekend at UFC Fight Night: Bonfim vs Brown.
