SportsCasting’s guide below will tell you all you need to know when it comes to the upcoming UFC Fight Night: Ulberg vs Reyes card and main event bout.

Carlos Ulberg vs Dominick Reyes Betting Tips

  • Carlos Ulberg to WIN via KO/TKO @ 6/4

All eyes are on Perth this weekend at as Carlos Ulberg vs Dominick Reyes headlines in a compelling light-heavyweight contest.

Despite winning his last three fights via knockout, Reyes is a fairly big underdog with UFC betting sites in his bout this week against Ulberg this weekend.

Reyes is #7 ranked at 205-pounds, with Ulberg ranked at #3. Not only that but Ulberg has won eight successive UFC bouts, whereas Reyes lost four on the spin prior to his last three resurgent performances.

Although known for his knockout power, the New Zealander has won his last two fights via decision. That being said, he is still widely regarded as one of the biggest punchers at light-heavyweight.

Reyes on the other hand has contested for the UFC Light-Heavyweight Title before, pushing the great Jon Jones all the way before losing a narrow decision back in February 2020.

He has been on a good run of late, but is firmly up against it as he takes on ‘Black Jag’ in Australia this weekend. We do feel the odds are slightly offensive to ‘The Devastator’, but agree with the outcome price-setters see as most likely.

With that in mind, SportsCasting‘s MMA expert betting tip is for Carlos Ulberg to defeat Dominick Reyes via KO/TKO to cement his name as the next UFC Light-Heavyweight Title challenger in the New Year.

Ulberg vs Reyes Prediction: Carlos Ulberg to WIN via KO/TKO @ 6/4

It’s fairly obviously by if you take one look at Carlos Ulberg’s MMA record that he is a frighteningly powerful striker.

Although his last two victories have gone the distance, ‘Black Jag’ remains one of the hardest hitting light-heavyweight fighters on the entire UFC roster.

Add to that the fact that prior to his resurgence, Dominick Reyes lost four straight fights and three via knockout. He was stopped by Jan Blachowicz, Jiri Prochazka and Ryan Spann – three hard hitters.

However, Ulberg looks like he could be the best fighter Reyes has faced of late. ‘The Devastator’ himself even said how much of an athlete Ulberg is, which re-affirms just howe up against it the American is.

Prior to Ulberg’s last two decision wins, he won five contests on the spin inside the distance. Four of these five came via knockout – all of which came in the very first round.

Here at SportsCasting we feel this could be a big opportunity for Ulberg to get back on the KO streak. Yes, Reyes is a talented fighter, but his chin has let him down in the past when caught flush by a heavy hitter.

Carlos Ulberg is most definitely a heavy hitter, which is why our Ulberg vs Reyes prediction sees the New Zealander coming out on top via KO/TKO at odds of 6/4.

UFC Fight Night: Ulberg vs Reyes Preview

Along with the UFC Fight Night: Ulberg vs Reyes main event, there are a further 13 fights on the rest of the main card and prelims. Some big names and future contenders are in action prior to the light-heavyweight main event.

Heading into this match-up, Carlos Ulberg has secured two UFC bonuses in his last five fights with ‘Performance of the Night’ recognition. The 34-year-old is a frighteningly hard hitter, which could spell trouble for Dominick Reyes if he lands flush.

That being said, Reyes himself has looked rejuvenated of late after three impressive knockout victories of his own. For a while it looked like the American was going to fall out of the 205-pound rankings, but now stands at #7 after three early knockouts.

There are most definitely UFC Light-Heavyweight Title implications here, with the winner in an incredibly strong position heading into 2026. A win here for either man will result in title shot against the Magomed Ankalaev vs Alex Pereira winner at UFC 320 next month.

If Ulberg wins, he could get the next 205-pound title shot depending on what happens at the UFC 320 fight card. If it’s Reyes who claims victory this weekend, he may need one more win against the likes of Jiri Prochazka to punch his ticket to the title shot.

Either way, next year will undoubtedly see either Ulberg or Reyes challenging for UFC gold in the light-heavyweight division. Talk about an added incentive! Do not miss this one from the RAC Arena in Perth this weekend!
