Lindelof Will Leave as Free Agent This Summer

Juventus are interested in Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof as the Red Devils weigh up whether to let the Sweden star move on in January, according to reports. 

Lindelof’s contract is up in the summer so the hierarchy at Old Trafford need to determine whether to cash in on the 30-year-old.

As it stands, it appears that Lindelof doesn’t have a future in M16 after the end of the season. Therefore, Juve are set to test United’s resolve.

In the Premier League this season, Lindelof has made just four appearances. He has accumulated just 58 minutes of action across those games.

New boss Ruben Amorim will want to have his say on Lindelof’s future. However, the board will likely insist on entertaining a cash bid from the Serie A giants.

Victor Lindelof Set For Juventus Transfer

Owing to a defensive injury crisis, Juventus are keen to push through the transfer of Victor Lindelof in the January transfer window.

According to TuttoSport, the Old Lady are willing to take Lindelof off Manchester United‘s hands as soon as possible. Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal have both suffered fresh setbacks for Thiago Motta’s side.

In terms of a transfer fee, Lindelof won’t generate a hefty figure owing to his age and length of time on his contract. However, United boss Ruben Amorim will want a replacement lined up if Lindelof is allowed to leave.

This potential switch might not be the only bit of business the two clubs iron out in January. Summer-signing Joshua Zirkzee is being linked with a move to Turin after failing to impress at Old Trafford.

From Amorim’s perspective, he certainly has a lot in his in-tray to navigate. United’s toothless attack is the main concern but he’ll also need to plug the leaky defence.
