As the 2025 Royal Ascot fixture heads into Saturday punters will be looking to end the five days on a high and there might be no better way to do that than in the very last race – with a well-backed Willie Mullins Royal Ascot runner in the Queen Alexandra Stakes.
Willie Mullins Royal Ascot Runner Well-Backed To Land The ‘Lucky Last’, With Ryan Moore Booked
If siding with trainers that have a good previous record in a race is your angle – then the Queen Alexandra Stakes has to be on your radar.
Why? Well, the final race of the 2025 Royal Ascot fixture has been a top contest for a yard that are more famed for firing in the winners at the Cheltenham Festival.
Step forward Willie Mullins, who has won the Queen Alexandra Stakes (the final Royal Ascot race) four times since 2012. With three of these having a certain Ryan Moore riding.
The pair team up again in 2025 with a horse called SOBER, so it’s no shock this former French-trained 6 year-old has been backed off the boards to give the duo another success in this contest.
Sober has also been put up jockey Frankie Dettori as his best Royal Ascot bet of the meeting. Punters will be hoping he’s saved the best for last.
Willie Mullins has trained eleven Royal Ascot winners to date – but the Queen Alexandra Stakes is his best with four coming in this contest.
With his most recent coming on Friday at the 2025 meeting. When Ethical Diamond won the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes, with a certain Ryan Moore doing the steering.
