Luke Humphries vs Cameron Menzies (7.15pm) 🎯
The first quarter-final match at the World Grand Prix tonight sees world number one Luke Humphries take on the world number 32 Cameron Menzies.
On paper, this should be a routine victory for ‘Coolhand’. However, Menzies has impressed this year on the PDC circuit and has also beaten two Premier League Darts player en route to the quarter-finals of this tournament.
The Scotsman beat Chris Dobey 2-0 in Round 1, before beating former world champion Rob Cross 3-1 in the second round. This task against Humphries is by far the toughest, but Menzies has nothing to lose and everything to gain here.
That being said, he is up against arguably the best player in the world and a man who is in good form too. Humphries is super consistent on the outer ring as well as on the trebles, which will make him a very hard man to beat.
With that in mind, our first World Grand Prix Day 5 betting tip is for Luke Humphries to defeat Cameron Menzies by a scoreline of 3-0. At odds of 13/8 for this outcome, this certainly appeals.
There is a reason why ‘Coolhand’ leads the World Grand Prix field besides Luke Littler, which could actually be Sunday’s final if both players win their next two games respectively.

Danny Noppert vs Gary Anderson (8.00pm) 🎯
The second quarter-final match on Friday evening sees two-time world champion Gary Anderson take on Danny Noppert for a place in the semi-final.
Noppert impressed in Round 2 defeating an out-of-sorts and injured Stephen Bunting, but still got the job done and his nine 180s in the process.
Anderson on the other hand breezed past Joe Cullen in the second round, despite not producing his best darts either.
This is a match ‘The Flying Scotsman’ is favourite to win, and rightly so. That being said, Noppert has won a major before and is as resilient as they come.
That being said, taking Gary Anderson -1.5 sets at odds of 6/5 really appeals. For this bet to come in, the Scotsman must win by a scoreline of 3-0 or 3-1. Very doable for the former two-time world champion.

Luke Littler vs Gerwyn Price (8.45pm) 🎯
Luke Littler’s retirement rumours may have sparked huge debate ahead of this year’s World Grand Prix, but he has well and truly put them to bed with two routine wins in his opening two matches.
‘The Nuke’ barely broke a sweat in beating last year’s champion Mike de Decker in Round 2, after averaging 105+ in his Round 1 win over Gian van Veen, who actually set the record for the highest World Grand Prix average of all time.
Gerwyn Price on the other hand started slowly against Josh Rock in the first set of their second round match, but put that right in the second and third sets where he produced some of his best darts.
In a match that many people though would go all the way, Price destroyed ‘Rocky’ and limited him to just one leg in the entire match. If he can replicate that kind of form tonight, he has every chance of beating the 18-year-old darting superstar.
Littler may have hit a 170-checkout to win his match last night, but we are backing ‘The Iceman’ to pull off the upset and book his place in the semi-final on Saturday night.
The Welshman also has an incredibly strong record against Littler, which 99.9% of players can’t say. Littler has won the last five meetings, but before that Price defeated the Englishman six times on the spin.
With Price back in form, we fancy him to get one over on Littler again and book his place in the last four. At odds of 7/4 just to win the match outright, Gerwyn Price has to be included in our World Grand Prix Day 5 betting tips.

Dirk van Duijvenbode vs Jonny Clayton (9.30pm) 🎯
This quarter-final tie is a really tough one to call, with both men in decent form. Jonny Clayton has been here before, regularly making it to the last eight of the World Grand Prix.
The Dutchman on the other hand hasn’t been here as often, but has really impressed this year. Van Duijvenbode hasn’t even lost a set yet, beating Michael van Gerwen 2-0 in the first round before smashing Daryl Gurney 3-0 last night.
Clayton has been his usual consistent self, without setting the world alight. He beat Luke Woodhouse 3-1 last night, but will need to be better if he is the beat his opponent tonight.
Although the Welshman is the outright favourite with UK betting sites, here at SportsCasting we are selecting the Dutchman to book his place in the semi-final with a win over ‘The Ferret’.
It won’t be easy by any stretch for van Duijvenbode, but he has been arguably the most impressive player in the tournament this year. Hence why we are picking him as part of our World Grand Prix Day 5 betting tips.
Both of these players are heavy scorers too, so could either threaten the nine-dart finish tonight? Time will tell!
