On Sunday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Detroit Pistons(114-101 on the back of Zion Williamson’s 36 points. The Clippers were also defeated at home 121-107 by the Sixers, who bounced back from a couple of consecutive losses. 

A dominant Zion Williamson helped the New Orleans Pelicans take home a 114-101 win over Detroit, who are currently dead last in the Eastern Conference. The big man scored 36 points on 13/14 shooting in a game that was dominated by the Pelicans, who were already leading by 19 points after the first quarter. 

The Pelicans remain in fifth place in the Western Conference and are closing in on the Clippers, who were beaten in Sunday’s other game. James Harden’s teammates were stunned 107-121 by a Sixers team in the throes of doubt.

Philadelphia, which was coming off two defeats, got off to a strong start and took a lead 41-29 after 12 minutes. Led by the trio of Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, and Cameron Payne (who combined for 71 points) the Sixers managed their lead to secure a clutch victory and close in on sixth place in the East (a spot currently held by the Indiana Pacers).
