The 2022-23 PGA Tour season trudges on to South Carolina this weekend for the CJ Cup at Congaree Golf Club. After a few mediocre events to start the year, it’ll be nice to see some familiar faces with Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, and more making their season debuts.

So, with the strongest field of the year teeing it up at Congaree this week, let’s check out the full purse and payouts for the 2022 CJ Cup. How much money will the winner take home on Sunday?

Purses on the PGA Tour aren’t especially large in the first few months of the season. The fall schedule doesn’t attract many superstars in the world of golf, so the payouts from September-December aren’t as large as the ones you’ll see at majors.

Still, the PGA Tour isn’t giving out pennies for these events. More than $10 million will be given out at Congaree Golf Club this weekend, with the winner set to take home a cool $1.89 million. That’s an increase from last year, as McIlroy won $1.755 million for his triumph at the 2021 CJ Cup.

This week’s purse of $10.5 million will be the second-largest of the season. Last week’s Zozo Championship featured a purse of $11 million.
