NASCAR Truck Series Baptist Health 200: Qualifying, Corey Heim’s Pole Position, Lineup At Homestead-Miami Speedway

Corey Heim continued making a statement to the NASCAR Truck Series’ postseason field.

The No. 2-ranked playoff driver, Heim on Friday earned the pole position for Saturday’s Baptist Health 200 after turning a qualifying hot lap of 165.062 mph.

It was his first pole of the season. Seven of the Round of 8 drivers qualified among the top nine at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Heim enters Saturday 30 points above the elimination line.

Grant Enfinger remains the lone circuit driver to have secured a spot in next month’s Championship 4 race at Phoenix. He will start P9 at Homestead-Miami after turning a lap at 163.399 mph.

The remaining two “bubble drivers,” Christian Eckes (163.512 mph), who is one point behind Heim, and Ty Majeski (164.224), who sits five points above No. 5-ranked Rajah Caruth, will start P8 And P5, respectively. Caruth (164.554) begins P3.

The Truck Series has been idle since Oct. 4 and resumes Saturday at the 1.5-mile oval, the second of three Round of 8 events.

Actor/Driver Frankie Muniz Joins Reaume Brothers Racing

After a two-race audition with Reaume Brothers Racing, actor/driver Frankie Muniz on Tuesday agreed to pilot the No. 33 Ford full-time next season.

“I’m incredibly excited to join Reaume Brothers Racing full-time in 2025,” Muniz said, as reported by NASCAR.com. “My longstanding relationship with Ford has been a game changer, and I am thrilled to help facilitate additional support allowing us to tap into their exceptional technical and engineering resources. I’m confident that this synergy will elevate Reaume Brothers Racing and help us achieve great things together. I can’t wait to get started.”

Coming off a fourth-place finish in the 2023 ARCA Menards Series championship standings, Muniz started two previous Truck Series events at Nashville and Kansas for the Mooresville, N.C.-based organization.

Driving the No. 22 Ford at the 1.5-mile oval Friday, Muniz qualified P31, turning a hot lap of 155.735.

Competing with Ford Performance’s developmental team the past two seasons, Muniz has started races on Xfinity Series and Mustang Challenge Series.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Frankie to our team full-time and to expand our relationship with Ford Performance,” owner Josh Reaume said. “Their support has been invaluable, and we believe that with Frankie’s passion and our collective momentum from this year, we can make significant strides in the upcoming season.”

An Emmy Award-nominated actor, Muniz starred in the television series, “Malcolm in the Middle,” from 2000-06.
