NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 250: Qualifying, Tyler Ankrum’s Pole Position, Lineup At Texas Motor Speedway

With Friday’s qualifying session at Texas Motor Speedway rained out, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Tyler Ankrum earned the pole position for the SpeedyCash.com 250, which was scheduled for Friday night.

McAnally-Hilgemann Racing teammate Daniel Hemric will start on the outside of the front row, followed by Jack Garcia and points leader Corey Heim on the second row.

With the circuit returning following an off week, Ankrum is coming off a win at Rockingham Speedway on April 18.

Daniel Hemric In Position For Title Quest

With three top-five finishes in his past four starts, Hemric is where he wants to be – in the midst of championship race.

After spending full-time seasons (2016-17) on the Truck circuit, Hemric moved on to the Xfinity Series (2017-23), winning one race in 186 career starts. The trip to Victory Lane at Phoenix was a big one, though. It led to a circuit championship. Last season, Hemric raced full-time on the Cup Series and finished 29th in the drivers’ standings.

Hemric wanted to be competitive again, agreeing with McAnally Hilgemann Racing to return to the Truck Series. Entering Friday, Hemric ranked fourth among 45 pilots with 239 points, 73 behind Heim.

In seven events this season, Hemric’s average finish was 8.3.
