Sheldon Creed always seems to be fighting for respect.
Despite posting 63 career top-10 finishes in 123 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, Creed has yet to garner industry acclaim. The main reason? He has not visited Victory Lane since the 2020 Truck Series champion claimed back-to-back circuit events in ‘21.
Creed may have fallen short again in the rain at Dover Motor Speedway last Saturday, but the No. 00 Ford Pilot posted his third consecutive Xfinity Series top 10.
“I thought we brought a lot of speed,” Creed said via press release. “Obviously bummed we couldn’t finish the race, but we have a lot to build on for next week in Indy.”
As the Xfinity Series prepares for a weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Creed, with one playoff point, ranks No. 8 in the drivers’ standings, 179 points behind Justin Allgaier.
