After barely escaping the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series’ Round of 8, Rajah Caruth is ready to play a “free game,” as reported by NASCAR.com.
The 23-year-old, third-year circuit driver, who opens the second round of the playoffs at Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course on Friday, remains poised to play his “wild card” as the No. 7-ranked driver, seven points below the cutoff line.
“Man, it’s free game with the second round,” Caruth said. “You got the Roval, which is a wild card with the road course. So, I’m excited to see how the Roval is for us.”
Regular-season champion Corey Heim paces the circuit with 69 playoff points. No. 4 Ty Majeski and No. 5 Tyler Ankrum are tied, three points ahead of No. 6 Grant Enfinger.
