NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Connor Zilisch earned a perfect 10.
By claiming Saturday’s Blue Cross NC 250 at Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course, Zilisch claimed double digits in wins after surviving an overtime restart during the Round of 12 finale. With about 10 laps to go in regulation, the JR Motorsports pilot paced the field by more than six seconds.
A 19-year-old North Carolina native, Zilisch posted his 11th career win and first at the 17-turn, 2.28-mile track. He will be joined by three teammates in the second round of the playoffs.
“It’s so much fun getting to race in my hometown,” Zilisch said, as reported by NASCAR.com. “The JR Motorsports cars were so fast this weekend.
“It feels really good to get 10. Double digits is pretty awesome for my first year in the series. Now we’ve got to go win the championship.”
