NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Love’s RV Stop 225: Corey Heim Draws Top Odds

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Layne Riggs remains in the midst of a Round of 8 showdown.

Entering Friday’s event at Talladega Superspeedway, just four points separate the entire Round of 8 field, sans Corey Heim, who won two weekends ago at Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course. Heim (+700) remains the sports-betting favorite to capture the Love’s RV Stop 225 title, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Following a week off, Riggs continues to prepare for his second start at the iconic 2.66-mile tri-oval track.

Riggs remains one point below the transfer line and just two points from second place. Above the elimination line, Tyler Ankrum and Daniel Hemric are two points to the good and Rajah Caruth one point. Eying to move up in the middle of three third-round events, Ty Majeski remains two points below the cutoff line and Grand Enfinger and Kaden Honeycutt are four points out.

Riggs sounded confident.

“This is only my second start at Talladega, but I feel much more prepared this time around,” Riggs said via FRM PR. “Falling below the cutline after the ROVAL means we have to make the most of every opportunity, earning stage points and, at the very least, finishing inside the top 10 to get ourselves back above it.

“The key to these superspeedway races is just being smart and being prepared for anything. I know we can do it.”
