arca mendards pole winner delayed rain (1)

Rain fell in the desert Friday, washing out Phoenix Raceway’s ARCA Menards Series practice and qualifying sessions.

A few hours before the scheduled green flag, race officials hoped to allow the teams to run practice laps along the one-mile oval before the General Tire 150.

The race lineup was established by rotating the 2024 owner points for the ARCA and ARCA West Series. In the showcase event, drivers from each division were represented.

Brent Crews, who races for Joe Gibbs Racing, earned the pole. The 16-year-old benefited from William Sawalich’s work with the No. 18 Toyota team last season.

Tanner Reif will start on the outside of the front row.

NASCAR National Series regulars Lawless Alan, Thad Moffitt and Corey Day could be drivers to watch.
