NASCAR’s next Baldwin generation is getting a three-race opportunity for ThorSport Racing.

Luke Baldwin, son of Tommy Baldwin, is scheduled to make his Craftsman Truck Series debut March 28 at Martinsville Speedway.

“The opportunity to go NASCAR Truck Series racing is a dream come true,” Baldwin said, as reported by NASCAR.com. “I’m extremely thankful to be in this position with a top-notch organization like ThorSport Racing.

“I’m excited to work with this team and make the most of this opportunity.”

Under the direction of veteran crew chief Doug George, Baldwin, 18, also remains poised to pilot the No. 66 Ford for two additional dates, Kansas Speedway (May 10) and North Wilkesboro Speedway (May 17).

Baldwin captured the SMART Modified Tour championship as a rookie last season. The Mooresville, N.C., native started four NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour races, placing P4 from the pole at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway on Feb. 8.

Baldwin captured a recent 602 Modified division title at New Smyrna.
