NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Layne Riggs is not in Las Vegas, but he felt like No. 34 Ford team “hit it right on the money.” At Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, Riggs earned his first career pole position after turning a hot lap of 169.409 mph Friday, edging Kaden Honeycutt and circuit points leader Corey Heim. The MillerTech Battery 200 is scheduled for Friday at the 2.5-mile tri-oval track. Well, let’s just say Waters wants to emulate Cup Series regular Shane van Gisbergen, who visited Victory Lane last Sunday at Mexico City. After making his Truck Series debut last year at Martinsville Speedway, Waters started P22 and finished P30 following a Lap 176 crash. The Supercars ace wants more in his national series return, which is slated for Lime Rock Park on June 27-28. Waters, a two-time runner-up in the Supercars championship, also competed in a Truck Series race at Kansas (P19) and a Cup Series event at Sonoma (P35 after crash) Walter could feel more at home on a road course, similar to van Gisbergen winning last Sunday by nearly 17 seconds. Before making the full-time jump to NASCAR, van Gisbergen earned three Supercars titles. Lime Rock Park will host its first national series race in 14 years. “Lime Rock is a fast and flowing road course, which I feel I’ll be very well-suited to, and I can’t wait to hit the track in my No. 66 Ford,” Waters said, as reported by TobyChristie.com. Let’s run it back, mate🇦🇺 Australia’s own is back on U.S. soil. Cam Waters returns to ThorSport Racing for Lime Rock in the No. 66 Ford F-150. Let’s ride. Tune into FOX Sports 1 (FS1) to catch all the racing action from Lime Rock Park on Saturday, June 28 at 1:00 p.m. ET. 🔗… pic.twitter.com/VxfZ5S69YX — ThorSport Racing (@ThorSportRacing) June 18, 2025 Starting Lineup for MillerTech Battery 200 Here is a look at the lineup for Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series’ MillerTech Battery 200 at Pocono Raceway: Starting Position, Driver, Car No. 1, Layne Riggs, No. 34 Ford 2, Kaden Honeycutt, No. 45 Chevrolet 3, Corey Heim, No. 1 Toyota 4, Carson Hocevar, No. 7 Chevrolet 5, Tanner Gray, No. 15 Toyota 6, Giovanni Ruggiero, No. 17 Toyota 7, Andres Perez de Lara, No. 77 Chevrolet 8, Rajah Caruth, No. 71 Chevrolet 9, Brandon Jones, No. 1 Toyota 10, Patrick Emerling, No. 07 Chevrolet 11, Jake Garcia, No. 13 Ford 12, Connor Mosack, No. 81 Chevrolet 13, Stewart Friesen, No. 52 Toyota 14, Grant Enfinger, No. 9 Chevrolet 15, Chandler Smith, No. 38 Ford 16, Ty Majeski, No. 98 Ford 17, Luke Baldwin, No. 66 Ford 18, Tyler Ankrum, No. 18 Chevrolet 19, Daniel Hemric, No. 19 Chevrolet 20, Matt Crafton, No. 88 Ford 21, Matt Mills, No. 42 Chevrolet 22, Conner Jones, No. 44 Chevrolet 23, Nathan Byrd, No. 02 Chevrolet 24, Jack Wood, No. 91 Chevrolet 25, Cody Dennison, No. 2 Ford 26, Spencer Boyd, No. 76 Chevrolet 27, Frankie Muniz, No. 33 Ford 28, Tyler Tomassi, No. 69 Ford 29, Toni Breidinger, No. 5 Toyota 30, Dawson Cram, No. 74 Toyota 31, Norm Benning, No. 6 Chevrolet 32, Bryan Dauzat, No. 28 Cheverolet 33, Clayton Green, No. 22 Ford 34, Ben Rhodes, No. 34 Ford 35, Dawson Sutton, No. 26 Chevrolet It's @PoconoRaceway race day! pic.twitter.com/1Y1TAtTSfj — NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks (@NASCAR_Trucks) June 20, 2025 Written by Sports EditorJeff Hawkins Jeff Hawkins is an award-winning sportswriter with more than four decades in the industry, in both print and digital media.
