NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Mission 176 Entry List: Dates, Event Times At Watkins Glen International

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Kaden Honeycutt was pushed out of the No. 45 Chevrolet.

Niece Motorsports on Monday announced the driver change, adding Connor Zilisch will pilot the machine at Watkins Glen before Bayley Currey takes over for the remaining eight circuit events. Honeycutt announced earlier he would drive for a rival garage next season.

Zilisch will compete in all three national series events at Watkins Glen.

The move shocked many series insiders, considering Honeycutt, 22, ranked No. 6 in the drivers’ standings. He also sits P9 in the provisional playoff race, 73 points above the cutoff line.

“I would like to thank Niece Motorsports, specifically Al Niece, Cody Efaw and Phil Gould, as well as Josh Morris with DQS and Jason Wilson with Precision Vehicle Logistics, for the opportunity to drive the No. 45 Chevrolet in 2025,” Honeycutt said in a statement. “My plan is to continue to contend for race wins and position myself to make the playoffs this season. I look forward to sharing my plans for the remainder of 2025 and beyond in the near future.”

Entering Friday’s Mission 176 at Watkins Glen International, Corey Heim paces the field with 735 points, 143 more than Chandler Smith.
