NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Fans Respond To Layne Riggs Coming Back To Claim UNOH 250 Presented By Ohio Logistics At Bristol Motor Speedway

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Layne Riggs didn’t panic.

A first-lap spin Thursday night at Bristol Motor Speedway?

No problem.

Riggs rallied from the early misfortune to capture the UNOH 250 presented by Ohio Logistics title, his second win at the iconic 0.533-mile oval.

“I’m not sure what happened on the start with (Corey Day’s) 7 (machine),” Riggs told Fox Sports. “I felt like I was there pretty good, and just the first lap of the race, to spin out, it’s a blow to your confidence for sure, but I have faith in this team.”

Riggs’ faith paid dividends. By Lap 141, he was back in the lead and cruised to the playoff win. The 2024 rookie of the year qualified for the Round of 8 by beating runner-up Ben Rhodes by 1.212 seconds.
