NASCAR Xfinity Series BetRivers 200: Qualifying, Taylor Gray’s Pole Position, Lineup At Dover Motor Speedway

Following two runs on road courses, NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Taylor Gray enjoyed his return to oval racing at Dover Motor Speedway.

Once the team settled in, that is.

During the practice round, Gray posted the 29th fastest one-mile lap. The No. 54 Toyota team made adjustments and Gray earned the pole position for Saturday’s BetRivers 200. Gray’s hot qualifying lap of 152.685 mph edged Nick Sanchez (152.072 mph), who’ll start on the outside of the front row.

‘We worked hard through practice to make the car better,” Taylor told CW. “I’m super proud of the turnaround.”

Taylor earned his third career pole and first since Charlotte in May.

The top five qualifiers included Connor Zilisch (151.560), Brandon Jones (151.477) and Cup Series regular Ross Chastain (151.343).

Our Motorsports Going Dark After Dover

A few days after sacking driver Kris Wright in favor of Kaz Grala, Our Motorsports announced it will cease operations following Saturday’s event.

The No. 5 Chevrolet team struggled this season, ranking 36th in the owner standings. Wright ranked No. 29 in the points race.

“Our Motorsports will cease operations in NASCAR racing moving forward,” according to a press release. “Thank you to NASCAR, Chevrolet, the fans, employees, and drivers, for a good ride over the last 6 years.”
