NASCAR Xfinity Series HyVee Perks 250: Qualifying, Jesse Love’s Pole Position, Lineup At Iowa Speedway

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Jesse Love edged William Sawalich during Saturday’s qualifying session at Iowa Speedway, earning his third pole position this season.  

Love turned a hot lap of 133.237 mph, topping Sawalich by 0.030 seconds. Cup regular Carson Hocevar (132.844 mph) and Connor Zilisch (132.531) will start Saturday’s HyVee Perks 250 from the second row. Zilisch, the circuit’s rookie of the year frontrunner, has captured three straight races. 

In his second full season on the Xfinity circuit, Love earned his eighth career pole. He also started on the inside of the front row at Atlanta and Talladega in 2025. The 2023 ARCA Menards Series champion enters Saturday’s HyVee Perks 250 ranked fourth in the drivers’ standings. He has one win and 14 top-10 finishes in 14 starts. 

Justin Bonsignore, Joe Gibbs Racing Set For Iowa

Justin Bonsignore, the four-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour titleholder, continues his 10-race journey this season with Joe Gibbs Racing’s Xfinity Series program.

Bonsignore is scheduled to pilot the No. 19 Toyota for Saturday’s events at Iowa. In six previous Xfinity starts this season, Bonsignore’s best finish is P16. He’s also slated to compete at Kansas, Martinsville and Phoenix for JGR.

Following Iowa, Bonsignore will return to the modified tour for the Thompson 150 on Aug. 6 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. With one win and six top-five finishes in nine starts, Bonsignore, with 356 points, ranks second in the drives’ standings, four points behind leader Austin Beers.
