NASCAR Xfinity Series’ Connor Zilisch Captures Pacific Office Automation 147 Pole

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Connor Zilisch had “fun” beating his JR Motorsports teammate during qualifying for Saturday night’s Pacific Office Automation 147 at Portland International Raceway.

Earning his sixth pole of the season, Zilisch’s hot qualifying lap was clocked at 73.380 seconds at the road course.

Runner-up Justin Allgier, who leads the drivers’ standings by three points over Zilisch, finished four-tenths of a second behind Zilisch, who had a blast.

“Sure is fun,” Zilisch told CW Sports.

Austin Hill, William Sawalich and Sam Mayer rounded out the top-five qualifiers Saturday.

The Xfinity Series has two regular-season events remaining.

Zilisch also clocked the fastest practice time lap.
