Did NASCAR Xfinity Series driver William Sawalich have a premonition? “It’s going to be a pretty good day,” Sawalich told CW. It’s going to be? How about “was” a good day? Sawalich captured the pole position for Saturday’s Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville Superspeedway, but it appeared the rookie was already looking ahead to a trip to Victory Lane. “I’m super happy to start up front,” said Sawalich, who earned his second career pole in 16 circuit starts. Sawalich on Saturday turned a hot qualifying lap of 155.152 mph, edging Austin Hill, who will start on the outside of the front row. Sam Mayer and points leader Justin Allgaier will start along the second row. Will Sawalich’s night be as good as his day? “We’ll see,” he said. He's the eighth driver to win a Kennametal Pole this season. @WilliamSawalich will lead the field to green tonight. pic.twitter.com/XBbj8eEIRV — NASCAR Xfinity (@NASCAR_Xfinity) May 31, 2025 Truck Series: Rajah Caruth Wins Rackley Roofing 200 In a unique display of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series defense against Corey Heim this season, Rajah Caruth held off the circuit’s points leader to capture Friday night’s Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway. Earning his second career win, Caruth, 22, qualified for the playoffs by holding off Heim during the third stage. Caruth compiled 61 laps led, denying Heim his fifth win of the season. In 12 series outings, Heim posted eight top-10 finishes. Layne Riggs, who tangled with Heim earlier this season, challenged the leaders and bumped Heim from behind at least once. But he settled for P3.
