Believe it or not, the start of the 2022-23 NFL season is less than a week away. The Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams will kick off the new season this Thursday night, which means you have only a few days left to put the finishing touches on your futures betting card.
I’ve already covered the MVP, Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year, and division markets this offseason, and now it’s time to turn our attention to Comeback Player of the Year. So, who’s the favorite to win Comeback Player of the Year in 2023, and are there any valuable bets to make right now?
NFL Comeback Player of the Year odds: Derrick Henry the co-betting favorite
After missing the final nine games of the regular season last year, Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry has been pegged as the co-betting favorite at +500 to win Comeback Player of the Year. Washington Commanders rookie RB Brian Robinson is tied with Henry atop the odds board after suffering two gunshot wounds in a recent robbery attempt.

NFL Comeback Player of the Year best bets
JuJu Smith-Schuster +3000
It wasn’t too long ago when JuJu Smith-Schuster exploded for 1,426 receiving yards and seven touchdowns for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2018. The former Pro Bowler is still that dynamic player deep down, and Patrick Mahomes is the perfect QB to unleash him in 2022-23.
Smith-Schuster missed 12 games last season due to a shoulder injury, but he’s back to full health and ready to return to his Pro Bowl self. With Tyreek Hill moving to the Miami Dolphins, JuJu figures to replace him as the No. 1 wide receiver in Kansas City’s high-powered offense. More than 1,400 yards and double-digit touchdowns are totally in play for the talented wideout.
Robert Woods +5000
Robert Woods was on pace for another 1,000-yard season before tearing his ACL in November and missing the last eight games of the regular season and the entire postseason. He’s since moved on from the Rams to join the Titans, which should give him an opportunity for even more targets in 2022-23.
Tennessee lost A.J. Brown this offseason, leaving Woods and rookie Treylon Burks as the top two targets for Ryan Tannehill this year. If Woods can recover from his ACL injury and return to even 75% of his own self, he should be in store for a huge statistical season.
