With three NASCAR Xfinity Series postseason spots available entering Saturday’s regular-season finale at World Wide Technology Raceway, Sheldon Creed and Taylor Gray are hoping for a repeat winner or a victory by an independent driver.
It that transpires, Creed and Gray would earn provisional spots based on points, leaving Harrison Burton and Jeb Burton to grapple for the final slot. Harrison Burton enters the Nu Way 200 Sauced by Blues Hog leading his cousin by 31 points. He would advance if he posts 27 points Saturday.
Burton previously competed in three Cup Series events at the 1.25-mile flat oval. His best finish was P23 in 2023.
“I’ve been fortunate to get a few Cup starts at the track and while the results don’t necessarily show everything we had, I learned a lot about the rhythm of the place and how important track position and execution are over a long run,” he said via press release. “The experience should definitely help.”
Series points leader Connor Zilisch (+275) earned the second-best sports-betting odds to capture Saturday’s event. Justin Allgaier (+265), who trails Zilisch by 20 points, was tabbed as the race favorite by BetOnline Sportsbook.
