T.J. Hockenson Out For Week 8

Although Hockenson is close to returning, he won’t play against the Rams on Thursday Night Football.
There is good news for Hockenson. The Vikings plan to activate the tight end from injured reserve on Friday and prepare for him to play in Week 9 against the Indianapolis Colts.
Hockenson tore his ACL in Week 16 of the 2023 season against the Detroit Lions. Hockenson missed the rest of that season and all of training camp.
The Vikings opened Hockenson’s three-week practice window on October 4.
Hockenson was one of the most productive tight ends a season ago. He set career highs with 95 receptions and 960 receiving yards. Hockenson added five touchdowns in 15 games.

After a 5-0 start, the Vikings lost their first game in Week 7 to the Detroit Lions.
Minnesota took a 29-28 lead with just over six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. However, Detroit’s offense capped off an eight-play, two-plus minute drive with a field goal to take the lead 31-29 with 15 seconds left.
The Vikings failed to score, as the Lions held on to win the game.
The Vikings (5-1) face the Rams (2-4) on Thursday Night Football in Week 8.
