NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series UNOH 200 Presented By Ohio Logistics Entry List: Dates, Event Times At Bristol Motor Speedway

Canadian short-track specialist Cole Butcher will make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at Bristol Motor Speedway on Thursday night.

Butcher, a Canadian Super Late Model standout, will command the No. 62 Toyota for Halmar Friesen Racing. The Hantsport, Nova Scotia, native is a Pro Stock Tour champion and secured a recent ASA STARS National Tour victory.

“I’m excited to make my Truck Series debut,” Butcher said via press release. “It’s a big opportunity. Bristol is such an iconic track.”

Halmar Friesen Racing officials have aggressively scouted Butcher’s progress.

“Cole has been on our radar for the past few years,” co-owner Stewart Friesen said. “I’ve watched what he’s been able to do against some of the toughest Late Model competition in the country and he’s been impressive.”

In the second Round of 10 playoff race Thursday, Butcher will contend against regular-season champion Corey Heim, who visited Victory Lane in four of the circuit’s past five outings.
