Cristhian Mosquera has been spotted leaving Valencia’s training ground following reports that Arsenal have agreed a fee to sign the Spaniard.

Arsenal Agree Fee For Cristhian Mosquera

Is Cristhian Mosquera on his way to the Emirates? The youngster was spotted leaving Valencia’s training ground on Monday after Arsenal reportedly agreed a fee to sign the Spaniard.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that a verbal agreement is in place between the two clubs. If all goes to plan, Mosquera is expected to undergo a medical later this week.

“Christian Mosquera to Arsenal, here we go! Verbal agreement in place with formal steps to follow,” Romano wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday afternoon.

“€15m fee plus add-ons, total package under €20m. Long term deal in place, Mosquera who only wanted Arsenal.

“Medical ready later this week if all goes to plan.”

Mosquera’s arrival comes following reports that Mikel Arteta wanted to strengthen his defensive options.

Gabriel and William Saliba have been the Gunners’ first-choice centre-backs, and that is almost certain to remain the same next term, however they see Mosquera as ideal cover for the pair.

Jakub Kiwior, Jurrien Timber, Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori are their other backup options. Takehiro Tomiyasu, meanwhile, has left the club after another injury-stricken campaign.

If completed before their other mooted transfers, Mosquera will become Arsenal’s fourth signing of the summer.

The North Londoners have already secured the signatures of midfield duo Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad and Christian Norgaard from Brentford, along with Kepa from Chelsea.

Arsenal Transfer News: Gunners Close In On Gyokeres and Madueke

In other news, Arsenal are reportedly closing in on deals for Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.

Madueke, who was spotted at Wireless Festival instead of watching Chelsea win the Club World Cup on Sunday, is due to join on a five-year contract in a deal worth around £52m.

The England international is believed to have finished the final parts of his medical tests on Monday morning and could be announced as a new player as early as Monday evening.

Gyokeres, meanwhile, after prolonged talks, is set to join the Gunners on a five-year contract.

The Athletic report that the Premier League giants have struck an agreement in principle with Sporting over his transfer, with a fee of £54.8m due to be paid up front, along with an additional £8.6m in add-ons. Gyokeres’ agent has also waived his fee to help finalise the deal.

Arteta’s squad is shaping up nicely ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, and the UK’s best football betting sites have them as second favourites, at around 9/4, to win the English top-flight.

Reigning champions Liverpool lead the betting market at 2/1, while City are third favourites at 3/1. Fourth favourites are Chelsea, whose Premier League odds have halved after winning the Club World Cup thanks to a 3-0 win over PSG on Sunday night.
