Christian Norgaard has officially been confirmed as a new Arsenal player, but Gunners fans are in meltdown on social media.
Arsenal Confirm Christian Norgaard Signing
Arsenal have officially signed Christian Norgaard for an initial ÂŁ10m fee from Brentford.
The 31-year-old midfielder joins with a wealth of Premier League experience, having made 122 appearances for the Bees in the division since being promoted at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Norgaard joins on a two-year contract, with an option to extend for a third year.
He adds to the Gunners’ midfield ranks amid the departures of Thomas Partey and Jorginho and follows Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi as their latest Premier League transfers.

Mikel Arteta said:Â âWeâre delighted to welcome Christian to Arsenal. He is an international player with a wealth of experience of the Premier League. He has proven leadership skills and a strong character which will be invaluable to our squad.”
The Spaniard added: “He is a strong midfielder with excellent tactical awareness and versatility. He also has physical presence and intelligence which will give us added depth and balance. Christian will bring a lot to the group both on and off the pitch, and weâre excited to start working with him in this next chapter of his career.
“We welcome Christian and his family to Arsenal.â
The 35-time Denmark international will wear the number 16 shirt at the Emirates.
Arsenal Fans In Meltdown: “No One Cares, Sign Gyokeres”
Despite Norgaard bolstering Arsenal’s midfield options, fans aren’t happy on social media.
This isn’t necessarily down to the Dane’s arrival in North London, however. One factor for their anger is that Gunners chiefs are struggling to get a deal over the line for Viktor Gyokeres.
The Swede has long been linked with a move to Arsenal, and despite being in talks with Sporting over his transfer, recent reports suggest that the deal is on the verge of collapsing.
In response to the announcement of Norgaard’s arrival at the club on Thursday afternoon, @arsenal_game_24 said: “No one cares. Sign Gyokeres.”
@syfahwoo added:Â “Stop this, sign Gyokeres!!”
@mamakacleo responded:Â “If you don’t buy Gyokeres I’m out, I’ll be supporting Wolves. You don’t care about our feelings at all. Do you?”
@ifesamz replied with a gif of Gyokeres’ famous mask celebration, accompanied with the caption:Â “Gyokeres should be next.”
Even though doubts have arisen over his potential move to the English capital, the Gunners remain favourites to sign Gyokeres, according to the best football betting sites in the UK.
Gunners Fans Against Madueke Move: #NoToMadueke
Additionally, Arsenal fans aren’t happy about the prospect of signing Noni Madueke from Chelsea.
So unhappy, in fact, that they have started the hashtag ‘#NoToMadueke’ in an attempt to get the club to pull out of the deal, with the Blues valuing the winger at a reported ÂŁ50m.
According to reports, the Gunners have agreed to personal terms with the 23-year-old. They are now believed to be in talks with their London rivals over completing a deal.
Many have likened his mooted transfer to Raheem Sterling’s arrival at the club last season.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are heavily linked with a move for former Tottenham Hotspur target Eberechi Eze. They are also looking to extend Ethan Nwaneri’s contract at the Emirates.
