WATCH: Cristiano Ronaldo Scores Superb Hat-Trick As Al-Nassr Hammer Rio Ave

Watch Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo score a stellar hat-trick in a friendly against Rio Ave, leading his team to a 4-0 victory.

Cristiano Ronaldo Scores Sensational Hat-Trick in Al-Nassr’s Win over Rio Ave

One of the greatest footballers in history, Cristiano Ronaldo, once again proved that age is merely a number for him. The 40-year-old striker scored three excellent goals against Rio Ave in a pre-season friendly on Thursday, August 7, propelling his team to a 4-0 victory.

Ronaldo got his first goal in the 44th minute, linking up with Al-Nassr newcomer and compatriot Joao Felix. After playing a swift one-two with Felix, Ronaldo applied a thumping finish from a narrow angle inside the box.

In the 63rd minute, Al-Nassr won a penalty. Designated spot-kick taker Ronaldo gave up the opportunity to double his money, leaving the penalty for Sadio Mane. The former Liverpool man, however, dispatched a rather limp effort, which was easily saved by the Rio Ave goalkeeper.

A minute after Sane’s miss, Al-Nassr won possession in midfield. Brazilian youngster Wesley charged down the right flank before cutting inwards and floating the ball into the box. Despite a deflection, Ronaldo perfectly judged the flight of the ball and headed it into the back of the net.

The captain completed his hat-trick in the 68th minute, dispatching an unstoppable penalty. Ronaldo, who recently signed a mega two-year contract extension with Al-Nassr, dispatched a thumping effort down the middle, sending it into the top middle of the Rio Ave goal.

CR7 Sends Encouraging Message After Latest Hat-Trick

Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo was in a jubilant mood after scoring his latest hat-trick. The Portugal international, who captained his country to another UEFA Nations League title earlier this summer, urged his club to keep building momentum.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he posted:

Keep pushing, there’s more to do.”

Ronaldo has won back-to-back Golden Boots since his move to Saudi Arabia in 2023. However, Al-Nassr have yet to win the Saudi Pro League, losing to Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad in the last two seasons.

This summer, Al-Nassr have made some fine additions to their squad, bringing in Joao Felix and now Inigo Martinez. If the newcomers live up to expectations, Ronaldo has a good shot at winning his first title in Saudi Arabia in 2025/26. Football betting sites are giving Al-Nassr 7/2 odds of winning the league next season.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has played 111 games for Al-Nassr in all competitions, scoring 99 times and providing 19 assists. With one more competitive goal, he will have scored 100 or more goals for four clubs — Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al-Nassr — across four countries.
