Robert Whittaker Gives UFC 320 Prediction For Ankalaev vs Pereira 2

As a former UFC Title holder and MMA veteran, Robert Whittaker’s analysis of UFC match-ups is always highly respected.

This is most definitely the case for this UFC 320 fight card, with ‘The Reaper’ weighing-in with his thoughts.

The New Zealander is no stranger to a super-fight, having been involved in several of his own. He is the former king of the 185-pound division, as well as competing with the best the middleweight division has had to offer over the years.

Whittaker is enjoying some time out of the octagon following his latest fight. However, he remains involved when it comes to watching other UFC fights in his division and elsewhere.

With that in mind, ‘Bobby Knuckle’s has weighed-in with his pre-fight UFC 320 prediction for the next pay-per-view show.

Magomed Ankalaev vs Alex Pereira 2 headlines UFC 320 at the T-Mobile Arena this weekend. Whittaker has given his thoughts on the bout, siding with the champion to retain his belt and hand ‘Poatan’ a second successive defeat.

Although Whittaker has outlined what Pereira needs to do in order to win the fight, he is finding it difficult to see anything other than Ankalaev getting his hand raised in the UFC 320 main event.

With regards to his own career, Robert Whittaker’s next fight is yet to be confirmed. He may well fight later this year in Perth, but as of yet nothing is concrete for the Kiwi fighter.

Robert Whittaker Picks Ankalaev With UFC 320 Prediction

Our UFC 320 betting tips are siding with a Magomed Ankalaev victory in his rematch with Alex Pereira this weekend. Robert Whittaker is in total agreement and is picking Ankalaev to retain his 205-pound title.

The former UFC Middleweight Champion has revealed what he thinks Pereira needs to do in order to turn the tide and win the fight, but is still edging toward Ankalaev to get the victory.

The Russian of course won the first fight back in March at UFC 313, and Whittaker feels that Ankalaev has the superior skillset which will result in another victory over the Brazilian this weekend:

“The more I look into this fight, the more that I try to pave a path of victory for Pereira in my head, how does he beat Ankalaev, the less certain I am of him being able to do it,” Whittaker told the MMArcade Podcast.

“What would Pereira need to do to have turned around the first fight? He needs to move forward, be less hesitant. I feel like he wasn’t leading the dance.

“Pereira doesn’t fight as well going backward as he does going forward. He needs to go forward, he needs to be the hunter, the aggressor. He needs to get behind his punches.

“Ankalaev does go under him this time, does take him down. It’s tricky, it’s going to be a hard fight. It’s going to be a very hard fight for Alex.

“Styles make fights. I think Ankalaev has the skill set to beat Pereira,” Whittaker said. “I have Ankalaev (winning),” concluded ‘The Reaper’.

Robert Whittaker’s UFC 320 prediction is the same as Alexander Volkanovski’s, who has picked the champion to win with his Ankalaev vs Pereira 2 prediction as well.
