Various UFC fighters and respected MMA figures have given their UFC 321 predictions for Tom Aspinall vs Ciryl Gane this Saturday night in Abu Dhabi.
The likes of Alexander Volkanovski, Michael Bisping, Dan Hardy and Alexander Volkov have all given their Aspinall vs Gane predictions for the UFC 321 main event this weekend at the Etihad Arena.
With that in mind, here at SportsCasting we have complied all UFC 321 predictions into one place ahead of the next UFC pay-per-view show.
Tom Aspinall vs Ciryl Gane Predictions
UFC 321 takes centre-stage on Saturday, October 25 in what is the third final UFC pay-per-view event of the year before the new broadcast deal with Paramount+ officially begins in January.
Tom Aspinall vs Ciryl Gane headlines UFC 321 for the UFC Heavyweight Title, with Aspinall hoping to make a successful first defence of his belt since being upgraded to the full champion after the retirement of Jon Jones.
Aspinall is currently ranked at #9 in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings, and is widely regarded as the best heavyweight in the world by quite some distance.
His next challenge is against Frenchman Gane, who has fought for the belt twice before. Gane first lost to Francis Ngannou at UFC 270, before then losing to the great Jones at UFC 285 for the heavyweight crown once again.
Now, Gane has his third opportunity at becoming the heavyweight king against the formidable Aspinall. Ahead of UFC 321, a wide range of fighters and respected MMA figures have weighed-in with their Aspinall vs Gane predictions.
This includes two-time UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski, former UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping and even Dan Hardy too.
Below are all UFC 321 predictions from seven highly respected names in MMA.
UFC 321 Predictions and Industry Picks
Alexander Volkanovski
Alexander Volkanovski was a 214-pound rugby player before turning to MMA, where he has since become an all-time great and one of the best featherweight fighters of all time.
The Australian is yet to have his next fight announced, but is set to return to the octagon in early 2026. In the meantime, Volkanovski has been giving his thoughts and feelings on upcoming UFC clashes.
That includes UFC 321, with ‘The Great’ giving his very own Tom Aspinall vs Ciryl Gane prediction. The two-time UFC featherweight king is confident that Aspinall retains his UFC Heavyweight Title in style at UFC 321, running through Gane with relative ease:
“I think Tom Aspinall blitzes straight through Ciryl Gane to be quite honest,” the Australian MMA superstar said on his YouTube channel.
“Whether it’s a takedown or even with the strikes. Unless you catch him [Aspinall] coming in, he’s bulldozing you. You need to try and catch Aspinall coming in and I just can’t see that happening.
“It’s going to be a win for Tom Aspinall . I think he’s a heavy favourite,” the two-time UFC Featherweight Champion revealed on his YouTube channel.
Alexander Volkanovski’s record shows he is arguably the greatest featherweight MMA fighter of all time, so his opinion on other UFC fights are always highly respected. His UFC 321 prediction is no different.
Israel Adesanya
Former two-time UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya is another fighter who has weighed-in with his UFC 321 thoughts and a prediction for the Tom Aspinall vs Ciryl Gane main event.
Although Adesanya feels Aspinall has a significant speed and power advantage, he feels that Gane has the more superior footwork of the two. With that in mined, ‘The Last Stylebender’ can see it being tricky fight for the reigning heavyweight champion.
That being said, Adesanya is predicting a win for Aspinall and feels he will execute this victory inside the distance:
“The thing is, the unknown is Aspinall in the later rounds. No one’s seen it. I haven’t seen it, so I want to know… It’s where you showcase who you are, showcase your fighting spirit, showcase how clean you work even in the championship rounds.
“I’m going Tom in this fight. The momentum is crazy, man. The way he’s been finishing guys, and that speed with the f**king mass he has behind it is a dangerous weapon,” concluded the two-time UFC middleweight king when analysing UFC 321 on his YouTube channel.
Jailton Almeida
Jailton Almeida faces Alexander Volkov on the UFC 321 main card, with eyes on a UFC Heavyweight Title shot next should he win on Saturday night.
The Brazilian is currently ranked at #4 in the UFC heavyweight rankings, and is facing the #2 ranked Volkov on the main card in Abu Dhabi this weekend.
With Tom Aspinall the heavy favourite to beat Ciryl Gane in the UFC 321 main event, Almeida could well be next in line to fact Aspinall for the belt if he can get through Volkov first.
Aspinall has beaten almost every other heavyweight near the top of the rankings bar Almeida. This means that should the 34-year-old win at UFC 321, he is almost guaranteed a UFC Heavyweight Title shot next against the Englishman.
Although Almeida is fully focused on his own fight at UFC 321, he has also given his Aspinall vs Gane prediction. The Brazilian told Ariel Helwani that he favours Aspinall and sees him retaining his belt:
“I’m pretty sure that Aspinall beats Gane,” Almeida revealed to Helwani on a recent podcast recording.
“It seems like Gane has other priorities in his life right now. Once you’re fighting at this level there can’t be no other priority. If you’re fighting at this level, if you’re fighting for the heavyweight crown of the UFC, you have to be all in, and it doesn’t seem like that’s the case for Gane right now.
“I get it that he’s taking it because who’s not going to take another title fight for the heavyweight belt? But I think his priorities are in a different place now,” the #4 ranked heavyweight contender concluded.
Alexander Volkov
Alexander Volkov faces Jailton Almeida in a compelling heavyweight match-up in the UFC 321 co-main event on Saturday, October 25.
The Russian MMA fighter has fought both Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane, so has experienced first-hand what both men can bring to the octagon.
With that in mind, Volkov’s Aspinall vs Gane prediction for UFC 321 is fairly torn for the main event, labelling it a 50/50 match-up. Although he admits the fight could go either way, Volkov believes Aspinall is the all-round better fighter:
“Both of them are good,” Volkov told MMA Junkie ahead of UFC 321 headlined by Aspinall vs Gane.
“Ciryl Gane, he’s really good with his movement, with his legs and everything. He’s not so bad at grappling now. He started working a lot on his grappling and his ground skills, so I think it’s 50-50.
“It depends how the fight starts, how both of them will be prepared for this fight. I saw that Gane will be motivated a lot for this fight to get the belt. It’s 50-50, but on paper, when I fought both of them, Tom Aspinall looks better.
“But in the fight, it could go either way,” the #2 ranked heavyweight contender concluded with his Aspinall vs Gane prediction.
Michael Bisping and Paul Felder
Both Michael Bisping and Paul Felder gave their thoughts and picks for each of the UFC 321 main card fights on Saturday from the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
This includes the Tom Aspinall vs Ciryl Gane main event, with both men siding with the champion to defend his belt.
Both Bisping and Felder feel Aspinall is close to unbeatable now in the UFC, and are both siding the Englishman’s way with their respective UFC 321 predictions.
The former UFC Middleweight Champion Bisping feels that Aspinall is too fast, too strong and too goo in every department for the French challenger. This is something retired MMA fighter Felder agrees with.
Dan Hardy
Dan Hardy’s UFC 321 prediction for the Tom Aspinall vs Ciryl Gane main event is certainly a bullish one.
The former UFC fighter turned analyst and podcaster feels that Saturday night could turn out to be another easy night’s work for Aspinall in Abu Dhabi.
In a recent video on his Full Reptile YouTube channel, Hardy gave his picks for the full UFC 321 fight card, including the UFC Heavyweight Title fight in the main event.
The retired MMA fighter pulled no punches with his Aspinall vs Gane prediction, and foresees the English MMA superstar retaining his belt in emphatic fashion with a destructive performance on Saturday night:
“This is a bad match-up for Ciryl Gane,” revealed Hardy on his podcast The Outlawed Picks Podcast.
“The advantages Ciryl has against most heavyweights, he doesn’t have against Tom. Tom also has the punching power and ground game to beat him.
“I think Tom is going to clean his clog. I think it’s going to be one sided,” concluded Hardy.
The MMA Guru
Another popular figure who has weighed-in with his UFC 321 prediction for Aspinall vs Gane is popular YouTuber The MMA Guru.
The MMA Guru boasts 385,000+ subscribers on YouTube, and has given his Aspinall vs Gane prediction in his UFC 321 breakdown video.
Although The MMA Guru has admitted he is slightly worried about this fight in case everyone has overlooked the challenger, he is still backing Aspinall to retain his UFC Heavyweight Title:
“I think Tom is too fast for Gane,” The MMA Guru revealed in his UFC 321 breakdown and prediction video on YouTube.
“For Tom, it’s not going to be quick. I think it’s going to be three or four minutes, which is long for a Tom Aspinall fight guys. That’s crazy to say out loud but I think he gets the body lock takedown on Gane and that’s where he gets him,” concluded The MMA Guru.
Although The MMA Guru has revealed he is slightly worried about the UFC 321 main event, he is still backing his fellow countryman Aspinall to get the job done in the very first round.
