Nike Baller League deal

Sports industry giants Nike have agreed a two-year deal with the rapidly growing Baller League as it expands across Europe and the United States.

Nike will become the official apparel and equipment supplier for the tournament.

The deal will include match kits, training gear, referee kits and official match balls.

Having grown quickly from humble beginnings, the Baller League now attracts millions of viewers.

The small-sided football competitions across the UK, Germany and the US represent a big commercial market for Nike.

What Is The Baller League?

The Baller League started as the brainchild of German entrepreneur Felix Starck.

It has since been backed by World Cup winners Mats Hummels and Lukas Podolski.

After starting in 2024, it has gone from strength to strength.

The concept reimagines the traditional 11-a-side game, merging sport and entertainment.

Aimed to appeal to younger audiences, matches are held indoors on smaller pitches.

Squads of 12 players are drafted to 12 teams, with a focus on spectacle and entertainment.

Games feature two halves, usually 15 minutes each way.

However, there are also special “twist” rules in the final three minutes of a half.

For example, long-range goals may be counted as double, or goalkeepers could be banned from using their hands.

Sky Sports nor broadcasts Baller League live in the UK, with streaming platforms also showing competitions.

The novelty and speed of the game has attracted interest, and brought with it celebrity interest.

From ex-pro’s like Micah Richards and Ian Wright to influencers and YouTube personalities such as Simon ‘Miniminter’ Minter acting as managers, Baller League has leveraged digital audiences to grow into what it is today.

Baller League UK manager, ‘Angry Ginge’, is set to enter the I’m A Celebrity jungle, showing just how popular some internet stars have become.

How Much Are Nike Baller League Kits And Where Are They Available?

Nike has designed brand new kits for all 12 of the UK Baller League teams.

Available to purchase via the Baller League UK website, kits are priced at £54.99 for youth and £64.99 for adult versions.

Teams include Angry Ginge’s Yanited, Wembley Rangers (backed by Alan Shearer and Ian Wright) and Idris Elba’s Rukkas FC.

The eye-catching Nike kits allow fans to rep their favourite Baller League kits wherever they go.

Nike Baller League Deal Will Run Until 2029

This new deal between Nike and Baller League allows the sporting manufacturer to top into less traditional football formats.

No financial details have been disclosed, but the partnership is thought to be very lucrative for all parties.

Nike has previously supplied kits for the Final Four in Berlin, but will now expand that to all regions.

Baller League CEO Felix Starck said: “To have Nike on board as our official partner is not just a milestone, it’s a statement.

“Nike has always been synonymous with creative, dynamic football, supporting the game at every level, and this partnership sets a new benchmark for small-sided football.

“Together with Nike, we want to create moments that move football culture forward while giving our players the elite-level gear they need to perform at their best.”
