Several Premier League clubs have been dealt a transfer boost ahead of the January window, as Real Madrid have placed Rodrygo up for sale.
Real Madrid List Rodrygo on Transfer List
LaLiga giants Real Madrid will entertain offers for Rodrygo in January and in the summer.
The 24-year-old was linked with a move away from the club last summer, however he was determined to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu to fight for his place in the starting lineup.
It hasn’t quite worked out like that though, as the out-of-favour forward has made just 15 appearances under Xabi Alonso and is without a goal for the club in 30 consecutive matches.
This run matches the worst record for an attacker at Madrid, equalling Mariano Diaz.
Rodrygo has now lost his ‘untransferable’ status off the back of his dreadful start to the 2025/26 campaign, with several elite European sides now reportedly ready to swoop for his signature.
His contract in the Spanish capital runs until 2028, but Real will sanction a sale for the right price.
Previous reports suggest the record Champions League winners are looking to secure upwards of €100m (£88m) for the winger. He joined the club from Santos in 2019 for €45m (£39.5m).
Arsenal, Liverpool and Galatasaray Among Potential Rodrygo Suitors
Among the sides heavily interested in Rodrygo last summer were North London duo Arsenal and Tottenham. Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have also been credited with interest.
Reportedly, Rodrygo favours Arsenal over Spurs if he opts for a Premier League switch. The Gunners remain interested despite acquiring Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke in the summer.
Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on adding further depth and quality to their options out wide.
Leading alongside Arsenal in the race for his signature are Arne Slot’s Reds.
The Merseysiders have underwhelmed as of late, with Mohamed Salah underperforming, and Anfield chiefs reportedly see Rodrygo as a ‘high-class option’ to refresh their frontline.
Whether Slot is at the helm when Liverpool are able to make a move for the Brazilian in January remains to be seen though, as he is now among the favourites in the Premier League sack race.
Jurgen Klopp is favoured to replace him, according to the next Liverpool manager betting odds.
More recently, Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray have been linked with a move for Rodrygo.
Unlike Arsenal and Liverpool, they will look to land the winger on loan. Spanish outlet AS states that Okan Buruk’s side would be willing to pay half of the three-time LaLiga winner’s wages.
A permanent departure seems likelier given how out-of-favour Rodrygo has fallen under Alonso, handing the Gunners and the Reds an upperhand over the Turkish champions in negotiations.
