Manchester City forward Erling Haaland delivered a Premier League title warning to Arsenal following his side’s 5-4 win over Fulham on Tuesday.
Erling Haaland Delivers Title Warning To Arsenal
Erling Haaland has warned Arsenal that Manchester City are still in the Premier League title race.
The 25-year-old was in fine form on Tuesday evening, netting the opener and providing two assists as Pep Guardiola’s side prevailed 5-4 in a thrilling clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Haaland reached 100 Premier League goals with his effort, becoming the fastest player in the division’s history to do so, surpassing the previous record held by the legendary Alan Shearer.

City sit in second place in the league table following the result, two points adrift of Mikel Arteta’s table-topping Gunners, however the North Londoners boast a game in hand on the Cityzens.
Bukayo Saka and co are in action against Brentford at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
Ahead of the clash, Haaland highlighted the importance of the busy festive period, insisting that the ‘league is not finished by Christmas’ despite many now favouring Arsenal for the title.
“This period now is about getting the points, getting three points here and there because it is a tough period,” he said following his side’s dramatic win over the Cottagers in West London.
“Look at the schedule – it is incredible, so many games in the cups, Champions League, Premier [League]. In the end, it is about winning games and being consistent and try to be there.
“If you’re there, you never know what is going to happen. For sure, the league is not finished by Christmas, so you need to be there and that is what you have to try and do.”
A recent Opta projection has tipped Arsenal to win the title with the lowest points tally since Leicester in 2015/16, while they are also favoured in the Champions League winner odds market.
Guardiola Hails ‘Insane’ Haaland Achievement
Having beaten Shearer’s Premier League 100 club record by 13 games, Guardiola was full of praise for Haaland following the full-time whistle in the English capital on Tuesday evening.
“When I arrived, if you told me that in 111 games, he scored 100 goals, I’d say, ‘Are you sure? In this league’? But he did it. The numbers are insane. Insane,” the Spaniard said.
“For sure he’s one of the best. For the strikers, it’s a question of numbers and his numbers have no discussions.
“You are British and you bring the best strikers to this country, so Erling is one of them.
“I am happy for him and happy for the team to deliver this day for him. And let’s continue.”
The Norwegian, who has claimed two of the last three Premier League Golden Boots, currently leads the division’s goalscoring charts with 15 goals, along with three assists, in 14 matches.
Brentford’s Igor Thiago is closest in second, four goals adrift of Haaland with 11 goals.
Across all competitions for his club this term, the ex-Dortmund striker has 20 goals and three assists in 19 matches. He also has 12 goals and two assists in his last four games for Norway.
What Next For Manchester City?
City, looking to extend their winning run in the league to three consecutive matches, return to action at home against high-flying Sunderland at 15:00 on Saturday afternoon.
They then travel to the Spanish capital to face Real Madrid in the Champions League next week.
The Cityzens currently occupy ninth place in the league phase table, having lost 2-0 to Bayer Leverkusen last time out. They sit in a strong position to seal direct advancement to the last-16.
To round off the calendar year, they face domestic fixtures against Crystal Palace (A), Brentford (H), West Ham (H) and Nottingham Forest (A) in what is largely a favourable schedule.
