Phil Foden is no longer guaranteed a place in the England squad for this summer’s World Cup in the USA.
That’s according to bookmakers Ladbrokes and Coral who have drifted the Manchester City attacker out to 4/9 to make the plane.
Foden played just two minutes of Sunday’s draw against Tottenham as he struggles to win Pep Guardiola over once again.

Once considered one of the first names on the Three Lions’s team sheet, Phil Foden is seeing his World Cup dreams turn into nightmares.
It’s the same old story at the Etihad for the player who was around 1/20 to dust off his passport.
Despite Foden being the PFA Player of the Year not so long ago, he’s currently finding himself as the world’s most expensive benchwarmer.
Pep’s “rotation” has turned into a semi-permanent vacation for Foden, and punters are smelling blood in the water.
With Tuchel demanding “rhythm and robustness,” the lack of minutes is becoming a concern.
“Foden at 4/9 is the drift of the decade,” says one top oddsmaker. “A year ago, you couldn’t get a price on him. Now? People are actually betting on him to stay at home. It’s madness.”
England World Cup Squad Odds: Solanke Betting Surge
While Foden is being left out in the cold, things have been warming up for Dominic Solanke.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker scored again at the weekend making it four goals in four games for the former Bournemouth man.
The goals came as a slight boost to manager Thomas Frank who is still a short price in the Premier League Sack Race.
His injury woes appear to behind him and bookmakers have quickly slashed away at the 10/1 that was available on him making the squad.
Providing they are fit, Harry Kane and Ollie Watkins are guaranteed to go to the World Cup and Solanke could be joining them.
Bellingham In Tears
Another tentative odds drift from over the weekend was Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham (1/4).
Bellingham was forced off the pitch in tears during the win against Rayo Vallecano and some fans fear the worst.
Odds have quietly drifted on the 22-year-old but if scans come back showing a bad injury then expect his price to move alarmingly in the coming days.
It could then be a race for time for the former Birmingham City ace to prove he is not only recovered but also match fit.
England Wingers Firing
Bukayo Saka pulled out of Arsenal’s routine victory over Leeds in the warm-up at Elland Road.
Arsenal’s quadruple odds were slashed following that win.
And Mikel Arteta insists Saka’s injury is not a major concern but it didn’t stop England’s wingers doing their best to step up this weekend.
Jarrod Bowen (10/11), Anthony Gordon (1/3) and Noni Madueke (11/10) all found the net although only the latter enjoyed victory.
