Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy. Players Championship tee times

The 2025 BMW Championship tee times have been officially confirmed, with world number one Scottie Scheffler paired five-time major champion Rory McIlroy.

There are a total of 24 two-balls and one single group for the opening two rounds of action at Caves Valley Golf Club this week in the penultimate FedEx Cup play-off event.

BMW Championship Tee Times: Scheffler and McIlroy Paired Together For First 36-Holes

World number one Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are both playing at the BMW Championship. As the two highest ranked players in the field in the FedEx Cup standings, they too have been grouped together on Thursday and Friday.

Golf betting sites have listed Scheffler and McIlroy as the two outright favourites to win in Maryland as well. They kick-off their BMW Championship campaign with a 4.16pm tee off on Thursday and 6.38pm start on Friday for Round 2.

Last week’s FedEx St Jude Championship winner Justin Rose has been paired with play-off rival JJ Spaun for the opening two rounds of the BMW Championship.

As the current no.3 and no.4 ranked players in the FedEx Cup standings, the two US Open champions will renew their battle once again this week at Caves Valley.

Some other BMW Championship tee times stand out, such as Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Thomas, Ludvig Aberg and Cameron Young and plenty more.

JT Poston will play solo on Thursday and Friday after Sepp Straka was forced to withdraw from the field. He is set to return next week at the Tour Championship.

All 50 players in action this week are in with a chance of winning a large portion of the $20m BMW Championship prize money on offer come Sunday.

Not only that, but the top 30 in the FedEx Cup standings will of course advance to the Tour Championship finale next week.
